Don't know where I've heard it, but I thought tipping movers was a thing. SO thinks I'm crazy, so we came to the OT to break the tie.

Have fun with our checkbook.

I have generally given them $20 apiece or $50 for the whole group. Also generally buy them lunch and have some softdrinks/water in an icechest for them.

Their tip is the fee they charge for the service.

No need to tip movers...

Why does every person need to be tipped? Moving companies already overcharge. If it's friends and family, tip them with cold beer and hot pizza. Any other, thanks for the business

20-30 bucks a piece.

Long as they can get a little gas, some beer, and black and mild, they'll be happy.

about 20-25 bucks a mover, esp if they do a good job and take care of your stuff

would be cool if you provided some water for them too, this heat is dangerous with jobs like this

Tipping is the statue removal of the service industry. You give one group of people a tip and suddenly everybody wants a tip just for doing their fricking job. Where does it end?

Also, to answer your question: tree fiddy

It's their fricking job!

if they wanted more money they should have charged more upfront. This tipping bs is out of hand.

It's almost all profit before taxes. I don't tip them because that shite costs enough as it is.

you all realize that the guys doing the actual moving don't get paid all of the money that the moving company gets paid, right?

Professional moving company or borrowed Mexicans from home dept parking lot?

I always use the Mexicans and tip them a case of beer and bag full of $1 double cheeseburgers or little Ceasers pizzas.

I'm glad to see the majority of people realize $20/man is the normal thing to do.

Just like waiting tables: most people know how to tip so it makes up for the idiots who round up to the next dollar.
