Does the left constantly calling whites racist, and talking about 'white privilege' create a backlash? We've heard for years from the left how fighting terrorism just creates more terrorists. Are they doing the same?
Are they, at the very least, hardening the hearts of those who would otherwise engage in an honest debate about racial issues, rather than the Reverend Al-style lectures that usually are offered?

These people are obsessed with race. They see it in every issue and divide Americans into groups because of it. They are as consumed with race as some white Southerners were pre-1960.

Yes. Being falsely accused of something brings humans to anger quicker than just about any other act.
Most people just work hard and worry about their families, etc. They are not racist and don't even think in racial terms. They may not even be political.
Then they see this crazy SJW shite and white people being lumped together as racists.
This causes them to be angry at people they otherwise weren't even thinking about.

I'm not sure it's creating more racism, but it certainly doesn't make their go any easier. Much like Hillary's deplorable comment, people will only subject themselves to so many insults before lashing out.
I'm convinced the election was turned on that comment alone because your average American, who is not deplorable, was tired of being told by the left he/she was.
The democrats just keep casting their net of insults wider and wider, and it's only fomenting hatred for them.
