2018 is a big year for the city. Dumb idea to start this project a year before the tricentennial.

Hopefully 100-400 will be done before Mardi Gras.

The whole reason for Mitch delaying the next mayors inauguration was because of the Tricentennial

The whole reason for removing the monuments was for the tricentennial

The whole reason for the Bourbon St project was for the tricentennial

All these fails and now the S&WB debacle, Mitch's world is crumbling right in front of his eyes.

I can see an indictment coming down within a year or so.

Who else can't wait to see Mardi Gras roll around with bourbon street still a disaster?

I hope Bourbon is still a disaster come Mardi Gras. Mitch got the law changed to extend his term an extra couple months so he could preside over the Tricentennial. Would love to see it all blow up in his face while national media looks on.

They must have forgotten to bring in the expert for that part of it

Surely there's a large influx of $$$ during the (8) Saints home game weekends?

That's what happens when you just hand the job off your "I got a guy" guy instead of opening it up for a bid. Nobody studies for the quiz they know they won't have to take.

We need a shakeup in city politics.

This is important. Needs to be quoted.
At least the first four blocks will look nice. Probably not a bad idea to put the brakes on this cluster.

That's the reasonable and sensible excuse, however, look who we are talking about. This city has had billions of $$'s to do what is needed to be done and the incompetence of this administration doesn't think that way.
