I've been following your posts. I'm happy to see that you are doing as well as can be expected. If you want to beat this, you have to get some nutrition any way you can. Hang in there and find a reason to keep pushing forward every day.
The Whipple procedure is one helluva surgery! I held retractors for hours and hours during my surgery internship for numerous Whipples. You have my respect.
The fact that you were a Whipple candidate is great news. Your chances of being alive in 5 years went from about 5% to 20%. Even higher if you had a lower stage malignancy. Keep on fighting. You are going to beat this. ??

Never lose hope. Even in my darkest days I knew if I lost hope it was over. There were many days I almost did but the weinie dog and my daughter pulled me through. Never lose hope

I emailed her. Told her she was being paged. We hadn't spoken since before the holidays. Hopefully she'll chime in here and let us all know she's kicking cancer's arse.
