Former Google employee's memorandum as described in one simple gif.

This is why you may see a CSC major with a minor in Psychology.

I remember taking Drama for one of my English courses and being the only male. I threw my arms up and said "YES!" on the first day of that class.

Hopefully everyone on here understands why I've kept quiet since my microaggression "training" incident a few weeks back. It's a shame this guy and myself have to fear blowback from these people in charge of diversity training now

It's insane to think that saying "Having a penis makes you a man" is considered discriminatory speech

This whole diversity and inclusion thing is mind boggling in 2017. When a hiring manager has to pass on a young white male because they have too many of them something is way fricking wrong. Hire the best person that applies for the job and that's it.

I 100% agree in theory. The problem is how do you differentiate someone simply hiring the best candidate vs hiring a particular group? Meaning, if your company is all white men, it's hard to prove that it just happen to be that all of them were the best candidates. There's also the possibility that having too many people from one specific group can stifle creativity. If every employee has roughly the same experiences it potentially hinders you even if they were the best on paper. There's no perfect answer.

Why isn't it as simple as I, as the hiring employer, felt he or she was the best person for the job I needed to fill out of all who applied?

Right, wrong, or indifferent, Google had no choice but to fire him for the shite storm it created. Especially when Google is already in hot water for the same issue Damore was railing about.

Also, I think Damore got in trouble because his viewpoints may interfere with the reviews he gives to his peers, which directly effects their pay raises from what I understand. He argued that we should all be judged as individuals, but at the same time, he suggests that on average, women are less aggressive, more anxious, work less, etc. So he paints with a broad brush. In fact, his whole manifesto is written like that. He could've said everything he needed to say in one paragraph, instead he did it in ten pages.

Japan says "hi", and disagrees with your assessment. They're all pretty darn creative.

I said possibility. There are also so many other variables that are different between Japan and the US that I'm not they're relevant to the conversation.

Because then you can just hire whomever you want and say "they were the best" and cite 'non-quantitative/qualitative variables'.

The crux of Damore’s argument was that biological differences between men and women are the cause of the gender gap at Google and the broader tech industry.

What biological or physiological differences account for this? Sounds like some r/redpill neckbeard trying to inflate his ego

I like that Google did this.

Kap got the dick-hammer up the arse for Kneeling during the anthem and this Google Nerd got the same dick-hammer up the arse for stating his opinions(right as they are).

Know your employer, folks. Free Speech is fun.

Also turns out Damore didn't have his PhD from Harvard like he said he did on LinkedIn.

The idea that white men dominate a company like google in California is laughable at best. In the south, certainly that would be the case. I'd like to see Google's diversity, but the amount of Indians, asians, etc. at Google is probably greater than white men.
