The denial delivered an embarrassing blow to city-parish officials, who in recent weeks have blamed former Mayor-President Kip Holden's administration for failing to make use of the grant dollars even as it touted the success of BRAVE.
Oh look, the "it's someone else's fault" defense. What a shocker.

Why would Delgado ever team up with someone like that?
He still clings to the idea of being mayor someday.
He should take heed of the words of Sir Thomas More from "A Man For All Seasons". I'll paraphrase:
There's no profit in a man gaining the whole world, yet losing his soul in the process.
But John...BATON ROUGE???!!!

Exactly.
I know several people that said they stopped supporting him because he constantly jumps positions for political expediency. He's only beholden to the issue that will provide him with the most personal gain. I bet if someone said that killing the first born of everyone in St. George would get him the position of mayor, he'd support the notion.

he same description appears on a line item for $9,500 for one Zuri Sanchez, who our research indicates is a wide receiver at Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge who will graduate from high school next spring.
What in the frick is this about? Who's kid is he? Follow the money to his connected parents, I'm sure.

Yes, Speedy, God forbid anyone come up with a plan to utilize those monies before then. It goes back to the Feds if not used. LSU can still be utilized for data & if it weren't for that sleazy Dr., I'm sure BRPD could find countless ways to use those $$$$. What are your thoughts?

That is some bullshite huh? You telling me they can't find a way to spend $1.4 million before September, in away that would benefit the community to some degree? Hell, give it to the police department, I am sure they can use it to buy equipment or tools that could benefit how they do their job. Upgrade a park or something..
To justify it by saying they have to find away to spend $1.4M before September is bullshite.
There are specific parameters by Fed guidelines in which these monies must be spent ...poor planning has led to this 1.4M$ not having been spent. That is why the Feds refused to extend the period past Sept.

Just for giggles - I put the POs in order by date:
Left the relevant columns visible and muted the rest. I didn't feel like making a ton of screenshots - So I put the last item to be approved and paid at the top. The red line separates June and July.
The totals at the bottom ore the totals for the entire spreadsheet and it's possible I didn't label them right (not an accountant). This may be helpful to folks not wanting to open the Excel sheet.
ETA:
Not sure what the H & D are in the first column but there appears to be one set of each for every PO.
OOOOOOOOOOPS... I think I accidentally erased the D copy of Christopher Turner Artwork somewhere along the way.
Here's a slapdash version with the correct amounts:

$19,000 to Isaiah Marshall. The former Board Member of CATS who resigned when it came out his buddies stole the money from bus fares and were using CATS funds to pay their household bills.
I'm sure every dime of the money paid to him can be accounted for and shown to have been spent on the betterment of Baton Rouge and our crime problem.

I think a meeting between black community leaders and the one white female social justice warrior needs to take place to get to the bottom of this.
I'm proposing Joe Delpit's Chicken Shack. Fried Chickens and fried pork chops will almost certainly bring everyone together.
For the other white female SJW, she can attend the meeting as well, but she needs to pick up a salad. All that late night studying to become a lawyer
and you can tell that baby girl has been eating often.

All this shite, Silky's included, is volunteer work if you care about making your hood better. Why do you need to get paid for it? (That's a retorical question. We all know the answer)

More than likely SS and others like himself was paid to keep his gang in line so that the crime numbers would drop making our officials look good.
Protection money so to speak.
I wonder if this was going on pre Broome too????!?

Gary's stupid arse response was hilarious. He posted the big ticket IT contracts like Oracle, Sparkhound, Venyu, and Cisco and compared them to
The likes of Tyrone's Taxi Services for inner city youths.
Does he have a clue how few blacks in the BR area have BS degrees in computer science or ISDS.
Not talking about those with some military training in network administration or two IT classes at BRCC and call themselves IT professionals. How many black legitimate database/application developers does Baton Rouge have?
Stop steering your 'people' towards public policy degrees to get cakewalk government jobs and direct them to get their BS in Computer Science if you want them to get IT contracts with the government. Dumb arse.

we are in year one of this clown show
she will have plenty of time to weasle around this (sadly because it's "normal") and will do and say more ridiculous shite in the future
the chance to get rid of her won't come till the election unless she personally commits a crime

Why hasn't anyone had gary or Donney explain the high school kid getting paid 10K to play basketball?
They're all saying that this money goes to good causes and it's what they're worth. How is silky worth almost $300/hour? Or Donney $50/ hour? And why is this the best way to keep crime down? That's obviously not the case given that stats.
