Now I know that the OT is filled with some of the brightest minds the world has to offer, so I share this with you, my intellectual brethren, in an attempt to laugh at and ridicule these ridiculous fools.
Absolute idiocy that "the world is flat"...
I spent way longer on this website than I care to admit... there's proof, and challenges, other "proof" going to both sides...
How in anyone's right mind would anyone sit in the camp of the group of people who believe the world is flat?
Granted, I've seen the "land mass proportion sizing inaccuracies on maps/globes" video, which I actually believe... but the fact that there's people out there who believe the god damned world is flat is mind blowing. Absolutely mind blowing.

They can't grasp that you can't see the curvature bc you can't see far enough unless you're at a very high elevation.

My favorite FE assertion is that the flat earth is constantly accelerating upwards at 9.81 m/s^2.
When told that would require enough energy to make that flat earth completely molten lava, I think they also throw out classical mechanics and thermodynamics.

Just go look at the live feed from the ISS and you'll know the earth is round. I love how some people try and use pictures to prove their point, but then dicredit photos of earth as "photoshopped."

Just the fact that the Southern Hemisphere would be three times the size of the Northern Hemisphere makes it hilarious. Basically anyone who has flown in a plane over the Southern Hemisphere would have to be in on it.

Really? There are people who believe that a cracker they eat on Sundays is actually the flesh and body of a man who died 2000 years ago. There are people who believe diseases are caused by demons. There are people who believe if they scrape up the last $100 they can scrape up and send it to a preacher they watched on TV instead of using it to pay bills or buy food, their financial problems will all go away. There are people who believe we are all inhabited by space aliens who were trapped in volcanoes by an evil galactic dictator. There are people who believe a million other ridiculous stupidities, but the flat-earthers are the ones who blow your mind?
