It's 6:30 in BR and the new Saltgrass is thriving. Parking lot is packed and cars can't find place to park. Disappointing that BR can get behind an average chain restaurant but We can't support other local and awesome restaurants.

Before you ask, I was not dining in there. Just driving by

I drove by twice recently at odd hours and I noticed how slammed it was. There are just too many baby boomers in BR who want to stick the old tried and true chain steakhouses.

I love me some Saltgrass. Went last week and the lot was packed and the service was top notch. Impressive for only being open a week when I had gone.

They probably all drove in from Livingston Parish.

This is as stupid a post as I've seen on this site.

What are the local options for a steakhouse?

Why? Was Longhorn closed? They have the best steak I have ever had. Don't know how good it is since it reopened.

Good point. It's telling that there aren't more local options. I'm not trying to hate just to hate but OP has a point.

Doe's to start.

And yes, I know it started in Greenville. Still local IMO

There are plenty of options in BR and good ones are doing just fine.

I don't know. How in the world did Chelseas close? That place was awesome and seemingly did well.

Just got back from Saltgrass (Clear Lake). Food was good. Service was outstanding. Manager stopped by the table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Reasonably priced. Tillman Fertita didn't get to be a billionaire by running a shoddy operation. He understands the value of good customer relations and providing an enjoyable dining experience.
