What is a acceptable record for Coach Ed Orgeron this year?

I would say 10-3. He will likely lose to Alabama and Florida because they are road games. He could easily lose to Tennessee since we would be playing in Rocky Top in late November when weather conditions might not favor us.

However, we get Auburn, Arkansas and Texas A&M at home. Ed should be pumped up for his visit to Ole Miss and if he cannot beat Miss State and BYU then we are in trouble.

If we are 9-3 and third in the west we should get to a mid tier bowl game which he needs to win, I would say.

He can go tops 9-4 but anything lower than that and we are in serious trouble with him as a HC.

If he goes 11-2 beating either Florida or TN on the road, I would say he is impressive.

Miles winning 9 wasnt good enough so why would it be for O? Must win 10 or more or what was the point?

So we fired Les Miles who got heat for winning 9 regular season games for a guy that we argue it is acceptable to win 9 games. Glad we made that move.

Unfortunately for O, his predecessor was fired for merely under-performing with elite talent. O does not have the typical rebuild scenario. He was handed the keys to a Porsche, so he has a very small window.

I expect him to win the west (and then the SEC by default). There, I said it. But if he falls short of that goal, I would only cut him slack if Bama was his only loss.

Anything less than 10 wins should be considered "hot seat" territory.

10 and part of what got Miles in hot water was the style of play....O can't repeat that mistake.

It's a rebuilding year and we play 5 SEC road games. Our cross division teams are Florida and Tennessee.

10-2 would be great
9-3 would be good
8-4 and he better win 10 next year

4 losses, maybe 5. Just put the kids in position to win. Something Miles failed at.

We've lost a ton to really expect a banner season.

Dude, it's Tennessee. Not Lambeau Field.

I keep hearing this and its bullshite. You act like Knoxville in November is freaking Siberia. The average high is 59 and low is 38 for that date. If that is a factor in the game then LSU has bigger problems.

9-3 and you won't hear much bitching

I see this team going anywhere from 6-6 to 10-2.

He has 2 of the best coordinators currently in the game... he needs to recruit, motivate, work with the D-line, review game plans for obvious flaws, and stay away... other than that, be the face of the program

Let Dave and Matt do their jobs... we will be just fine

According to the rant he will need to go undefeated or should be fired.

We fired a guy who averaged 10 wins a year, won a NC, and played for another

Orgeron better win. Nothing less than 9 is acceptable. I don't give a damn where the hell he's from

This roster has talent. There is no excuse not to win 10 games after a bowl game.

it's 11 wins. people said the only thing keeping lsu from winning the sec west was miles. it's time to see if they were correct.

Everyone saying it's not fair for O to win 9 when Les got fired for winning 9 are forgetting O is still playing with the players Miles left him.... mainly a thin O line and a shaky quarterback situation.

He'll win 10 at least so the point is moot.
