I''m not personally a fan of the black jerseys. Not a fan in general of gimmicky uniform changes.

Yes. I like them. To the grief-givers- white, gray and black are all neutral colors that can be used to create alternate uniform designs. These aren't worn by 60 year old men. The age kids that play for us are quite often into these styles and color combinations. It'd go over well with them.

They're not bad looking. Wouldn't mind it as one of the alternates. I don't think the fuddy duddies are embracing it though.

It's grotesque. I don't know why people have this obsession with adding black to the uniform canon, when the standard designs of purple, white and gold are "uniformly" acclaimed as the best in the land.

No. I'll never understand teams that do not have black as a school color forcing black into their uniforms. It's overdone and gimmicky.

The non-bashing answer is that purple and black don't play well together. It works okay when there's something outlining purple (like shoulder stripes, but is otherwise "washed out" (like numbers).
