CPM's pitching decisions did not cost us this championship.

Cant win games with 4 runs in two games. However if we want to talk offensive strategy and fundamentals, have at it...

If someone else starts the 4th in game 1, we probably win I with 3 runs. So, I disagree.

We played great game 1. We really needed to take that game.

Bad break with Watson not seeing the ball in time. Bad deciisjon to not have anyone warming up in the 3rd.

There isn't any single way we could have lost and this board not blame Mainieri. Literally impossible.

Playing coomes all of a sudden didn't make sense. Slaughter seemed like he was settling in

We could have manufactured runs there and put pressure on them

Wouldn't be an LSU sports loss without the coach being shite on for every bad break and second guessed to death.

it wasn't the pitching decisions, it was the fact that his players always seem to not know what the frick to do on the bases and have abysmal approaches at the plate

the only decision worth debating in this series was Slaughter/Coomes in this game

and even then it was a calculated risk, 1 that was worth taking

Florida. Cause all LSU can remember is the championship from 10 years ago cause of how disappointing our teams have been since.

LSU lost in all aspects. Coaching, hitting and fielding. Remove one of those aspects and the outcome may have been different.

I'll cut the freshman some slack. Big stage for an 18-19 year old. I don't know what to say for the upper classman.

bad break? Lol. We had runners on the corners with zero outs TWICE, with nothing to show for it.

Agreed.

We lost this series because our players did not play their best.

We didn't hit for shite this series. I can understand that against Singer, but the guys today we blew opportunities. We did about as well as we could game 1, but played poorly today.

I don't think so either and as bad as some of the base running was in situations I don't blame that either. These kids were playing hard and trying to win. If anything they put a lot of pressure on themselves and it did not work out.

I think losing Walker was the point of no return.

At the end of the day the bulk of the blame and criticism should fall on him. As much as is thrown at him on this board? No but majority should. Doesn't make him a bad coach or mean he should be fired just means he makes mistakes and should be blamed for the most part when things go wrong but the players made mistakes as well.
