Big plane that circles around Monroe

Does anybody know what this plane is doing. I've been seeing it for a few years now and have always assumed it was some type of security/survellience

National Guard unit practicing. Should be obvious. I think they are doing touch and go at the airport.

It's a C-130 transport doing touch and goes. Has been doing this for 10 plus years.

I sure loved watching me some A-10s out of England AFB in Alexandria...they'd come down to SWLA frequently. Hated when they went away.

It is funny how much mass hysteria and stupidity you have with people in the community around an airport. Every time we had a flight of f-15s, f 18s, or a B 777 needing to do a few touch and gos about half of New Iberia would call the tower or the Police Department.
