I guess what you do with it highly depends on your age.

As someone who is 23 with no debt and not so high salary I would:

Spend 10k on whatever I want (mostly vacations)
Max Roth IRA
Open HSA
Start thread on Money board asking how much to put in my HSA and ask about saving vehicles to put a down payment on a house when I'm ready.

ETA: But if you have debt, I think paying that off would be a no-brainer

Roll it into my IRA. If I were just starting out and young and not a homeowner, I'd invest in a house.

Set 50K aside for new house, pay off credit cards, take a nice vacation, and then invest the rest.

I would have a big head start down the path of being a full time real estate investor.

ETA: also, 2 chicks at the same time

Build an addition to my house, pay off most of the rest, go on about a 10k trip and put about 20k in college savings.

I would buy some vanguard funds and not touch it for 20 years.

But I buy stupid things like stocks and mutual funds - I love it.

Only debt I have is the house. So I'd pay that off, which would leave me with about $75k. So I'd take a nice vacation to Hawaii or maybe Italy. Then invest the rest.
