So im fired up right now. Need advice

My flight got canceled to Miami. Now I have to wait 5 hours for another flight and I am going to have one day of my trip ruined. Is there any way to get refunded any money from American airlines? I don't fly much, so I have no idea. Maybe i should start throwing punches and be on tv

Why did the flight get canceled? I'm not sure if weather counts, but anything else you should get some extra money out of them

Sucks, man. The airlines have had no problem violating anti trust laws for price collusion...but good luck trying to get money from them for a five hour delay

Depends on the reason for the cancelation. If it was weather, your SOL. If you call and complain AA will give you probably 5,000-6,000 miles or a $100 voucher. Since you don't fly much, it will probably be less than that. Sorry bout the trip, man.

Don't feel bad, my initial flight got delayed due to idiot trying to break into cockpit on the airplane on the flight before ours. Due to the initial flight delay I missed my connecting flight and I am now stuck for a total of 13 hours at LAX. I will get home about 14 hours later than planned.

Same thing happened to us years ago while traveling to Paris, France. One option we were given was to take the Concord. I think we were quoted $4,000 per person. The airlines do not guarantee to get you there on time, so there is no recourse.

If you booked using a decent credit card, it will have trip delay coverage. This assumes Miami isn't your home airport. Otherwise, there will be little recourse besides a few miles.

I had a flight cancelled from Houston to Baton Rouge late one night.
They said due to Weather, but other flights were rolling.
Truth was that there were only 4 of us on that flight, so they decided to save money and toss our arse on the next morning flight.
