Does the Jose Bautista bat flip bother you?

I saw the Braves didn't appreciate it last night and was wondering the MSBs thoughts on the matter.
It doesn't really bother me. I think it is silly to do the exaggerated bat flip on a homer when your team is down 4 runs, but it doesn't upset me.
I would like to see a pitcher toss his glove and peacock around the infield after striking Joey Bats out, though.

Freddie Freeman is always in the mix. I remember when Carlos Gomez retarded arse cranked one at Turner, Freeman was screaming at him. McCann didnt let him touch the plate either

It depends on the situation.
Watching Pujols admire a homerun when his team was down 9-1 made me hate him just a little more than I already did, but in a big situation, go for it.

If he did it every day it would be one thing but late in a meaningful game like that, I thought it was great.

I think it's dumb. Especially for a guy who probably hits 30+ a year.
Act like you've been there before

I couldn't sleep last night

Not at all. I always laugh at baseball fans who think someone deserves retribution for something like that, especially a shot in the face that could have been a Kermit Washington/Rudy T situation.

It doesn't upset me whatsoever, however, when Joey Bats did it last night when they were still down like 4 runs, it is pretty dumb.

I don't give a crap about a player flipping a bat. I yell at the TV and call him all sorts of names to make fun of him for being a douche, but otherwise I don't care one way or the other.
You have to take last night into context. The Braves were pissed about 8 hit batsmen over the course of 2.5 games in addition to the Jays pussies complaining and yelling at Dansby for dropping the line drive and turning two, and the other pussy for crying about getting quick pitched.
If McCann was in the mix, then I would say just get over yourself b/c he has a history of being the written rules of baseball Sergeant at Arms, but last night was different.

I have nothing against the bat flip
But the way Bautista did it last night was stupid. Pitcher staredown and a bat flip on a HR when you're down 4 in May>!

It doesn't bother me, I would have been talking shite to him and pointing to the scoreboard though if I were an infielder for the Braves.

Nope, but I like that it bothers other teams.

The weirdest thing about being a casual/new baseball fan (after never playing the sport growing up) is all the little unwritten rules that people get pseudo-outraged about.
Personally I think it makes things more fun.

I don't get why the Braves got so mad. They're up by 4, all they have to do is laugh it off and Bautista looks like a douche for pimping a homer while his team is down by 4.
Instead, they got their panties in a bunch and now they are the ones that look like assholes. I'll never understand the pettiness of some teams to be so offended at a player celebrating.

I wouldn't mind every one of our pitchers get thrown out tonight by throwing at him each time he is at the plate. Not because of the bat flip. I just like a good brawl.

This was also after 7 Braves had been hit by Toronto pitchers since the start of Monday's game, the most recent being Freddie Freeman who had to leave with a wrist injury. Then the Braves hit a Blue Jay player, then an inning or two later the bat flip happened (with Toronto down 4). Just a little context.

The douchey stare after hitting the HR is what pisses people off not the bat flip. Manny Ramirez pimped his HRs too but he never showed up the pitcher. He just dropped his bat, stood still at home plate for a few seconds to admire the shot, and then trotted around the bases. That's how you celebrate a home run.
