OK, so some folks feel as if Lebron is approaching top 5 category (even top 2) for some. Are these ppl prisoner of the moment? Do they really understand the greatness of players like Jabbar and Magic and Russel?
I do think Lebron is top 5 for sure based on his athletic ability and actually living up to some of the unreal expectations that he and others placed upon himself. He probably has as much athletic skill as anyone that played the game. Also, he has finally learned to sometimes not back down from the moment. This was always a struggle for him. To go to the hole instead of just shooting a 3 when the game is on the line. To want to shoot the important free throws (which still is a weakness).
But at the end of the day he really fails when compared to 3 players. Jordan (of course), Russel and Jabbar.
Jabbar had all the hype, all the expectations and lived up to them. Two franchises to the championship. All time leader in points, unstoppable shot. Was a phenom every bit as much as Lebron was but it gets forgotten about.
Russel was probably the closest to Jordan in terms of desire, hunger, killer mentality. No his numbers aren't what makes him great. It is all the things that numbers can't measure. Leadership, will to win, foundation of a defense. All at a time when his color worked against him. I mean he coached and played at the same time and won championships.
Jordan, nothing can be said for him that isn't known. He did everything the right way. He answered all challenges and conquered all before him. One of the reasons for his greatness-names of players that were denied championships because of him (P. Ewing, C. Barkley, K.Malone, J. Stockton, C. Drexler, S. O'Neal, K. Johnson, A. Mourning, R. Miller, G. Payton, S. Kempf, D. Wilkins) to just name a few. Once Jordan won his first, I don't think most ppl doubted who was going to win the championship every year. He never backed down, never shied away from competition. Oh, we are going to have a slam dunk competition. No problem, I will go battle what probably is considered the best dunker of all time and beat him (maybe a little home court advantage). Scoring leader every year, no problem. Defense, yeah just won defensive player of the year. He went through the toughest of the tough, Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, Pacers. He was the ultimate competitor, alpha male, winner.
I know, too long, didn't read, whatever. Just putting thoughts on screen when it comes to NBA all time greats. Hate all you want. Everyone will feel as they want anyway

Old school teams would have destroyed Lequeef.
Charles Oakley and Anthony Mason would have made him quit.
The Bad Boys would have lebronnie crying and sucking his thumb in the locker room.

Bron came back after being down 3-1 to the best regular season team of all time.

Where have you been on the internet the last 15 years?
Yes, Millennials rule the internet and sports talk. Their memory goes back to when Jordan first retired.
Nothing happened before the movie Twister came out.

Lebron shits over Magic in every phase of the game
Posted on 5/9/17 at 10:27 pm to LSUperior
The point is that he didn't win when Jordan was with the Bulls

Anyone who says either of the following:
1. He's not top 2
2. He has no chance to be #1
You don't need to take their opinion seriously. I didn't read the rest, but I'm sure you made a great post.

A lot of fricking ignorance.
I was not a Laker fan at all...but you really need to educate yourself on Magic.
