Is the private tour (for a family of 4) worth the extra money rather than doing the wagon?

Private tour for family of 4: $140
Regular wagon tour for 2 adults and 2 kids: $64

What's the price difference?

I've done the wagon deal and didn't feel like we missed out on anything. What do they say the private tour gives you?

I only did the private tour there but I've done other animal tours with random people and its always been terrible. I ended up buying all four tickets for just the two of us so not to have randos up in my space

Of course it is. Why would an OT'er want to share space with the lower classes?

THe private tour takes you basically wherever you want to go. For example the giraffes may not be on the trail that the wagons follow. A private tour would drive over to them. We did the general tour over Easter weekend but I'm not sure how much the private tour is

The private tour ventures off the typical wagon trail and allows you to view animals that you may not see on the wagon. Giraffes are the perfect example. I've been to Global Wildlife about 5 times and have only seen the giraffes up close at the wagon once. The private tour almost guarantees that you see them.

That's the only way to see the lions.

I'd recommend it. They drive you anywhere and stay wherever you want for as long as you'd like. The giraffes will undoubtedly stick their heads inside of your cab area to eat your corn and you can touch and pet them. Kids would absolutely love it.

We did the private tour over Easter. It was awesome. It was $35 each plus $72 for the largest sack of feed option. We had 4 adults and 4 kids which filled up the truck. The animals stick their head the truck to get food. The guide lets you know which ones you can feed with your hands.

The only thing I don't like about the private tour is that they charge $35/person regardless of age. The normal safari tour is free for children under the age of 2.

That's almost $400 after tax

Its worth the extra money. You get to spend more time seeing the animals you want to see.

Yes. You get to interact a lot more with the animals then on the wagon. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
