Always feel bad for people getting laid off, but he was terrible and I'm sure that played into the decision.

Danny Kannell also fired, along with Russillo's role being greatly reduced.

He must not be doing his job because I have never heard of him.

I'd never heard of him so I did an image search. I still have never heard of him.

Edit: apparently covers LSU and lives in BR

He was a regular on the morning show during football season. I wish he could replace Mascona.

Any move that gets rid of Kannell is a good one. He was awful.

Maybe ESPN will reconsider their decision to politicize ESPN.

He obviously has talent to have made it to ESPN?

Could TD hire him part time to write somewhat of a daily story regarding LSU athletics in some fashion?

So I guess I'd be out of line if I said, "Cha-ching!"

If they got rid of Kanell and kept Lebetard then that's some BS.

ESPN lost me years ago with their left-leaning politicization of sports. The last straw with their Michael Sam obsession. Now I don't care what Michael Sam does in his private life, but ESPN way overdid that whole thing for their own agenda.

Now, I only watch live games (mostly college football) and literally nothing else on ESPN.

Reasons why ESPN sucks now:

Espn overpays for broadcast rights, which makes everybody's cable bills skyrocket.

ESPN shows more debate shows than actual sports these days. Nobody wants to watch newspaper columnists argue with each other every hour.

ESPN forces liberal agendas down everybody throat, when they're just tuning in to watch sports.

You can't even watcha highlight on any espn channel without an espn personality giving hos opinion.

Tom Rinaldi and that stupid piano music that plays everytine he talks.

I blame Stephen A Smith for the ESPN collapse. He's unbearable to watch

Hate to hear about these layoffs.

How will this effect all the coverage LSU (baseball in particular)gets on the WatchESPN app via SECN+
For baseball, EVERY game has been broadcast via the ESPN app.
Will that continue? I'm a season ticket holder for football, but losing baseball coverage would suck!!
