3 pointers, layups, and free throws. That's his game. That's the way Morey and D'Antoni like it. Actually, I think his flopping has gone down a lot. He's just very good at getting players to foul him.

Are you saying he isn't getting fouled and they are all flops?

He flops a lot. No shame in admitting that. It is what it is.

He also draws a lot of legitimate contact. It's not a zero sum game, but there's no denying drawing contact/fouls is a big part of his game. His game is built on deception. It's smart.

But he does flop often. Hey, if the ref is going to blow the whistle, might as well cash in to help your team.

It's a rip through by definition, and should be called as such.

It's difficult to refer that in real time. Reputation should precede him though, I agree.

Manu used to get that call often, but the past few years officials have let that go, whereas Harden will get that call now. It's star calls more than anything.

Yes. Kyrie averaged 1.5 fewer per game than Lebron, and at his current rate Harden is averaging 10 (16.3 to 6.1) more per game than Lebron in this comparison.

ames Harden is the basketball equivalent of the big burly slugger who has a mediocre batting average but walks

No, he's the slap-hitting Ichiro running out the box as he flails putting bat on ball. It's annoying & not fun to watch.

Ichiro constantly puts the ball in play creating action. Free throws slow the game to a crawl and cause like a guy who constantly walks. Sure it helps the team win but as an unbiased observer it's boring.

he's a unique player in that the way defenses try to guard him opens up this opportunity for him to draw the foul. Other guys can't do it bc they aren't as skilled and smart.

It must take a piece of your bball soul defending this absolute garbage type player. I'd be ashamed if that was our team's #1 guy. You have to "reach" so far to defend "James", it's laughable.

Harden is a mess.

harden has the utmost respect of the coaches and players he goes up against. In fact I'd almost go as far as saying that not having an appreciation of harden is a sure fire sign of a casual fan. Anybody who really knows the game knows how truly special he is.

"His ability to draw fouls on the perimeter is transcendent."

That's like one or so possessions a game where he baits the poor defender into fouling him on a three pointer. He knows exactly when to do it too. how many times does he try to get the foul and not actually be fouled. Very. Very Rarely.

It is an elite skill, I'm not arguing otherwise, but isn't fun to watch. Same with LeBron when he flops. Just completely unnecessary considering their other skills.

Please Don't ever compare what James does to the crap that Lebron pulls.

The only difference is that it works for Harden and not for LeBron.

What Harden does is no different than flopping to sell a call.

amen... lebron is a superstar. #13 for houston is a gimmick player. If not for his gimmick he is just another mediocre player.
