If we make a routine play then the game is still going on, actually Quinn saved a throw earlier from Sanchez that prevented it from going to center field.
Its just depressing that we have great pitching but we can't seem to put things together.
Doyle needs to be at 3B. Springfield is actually pretty good defensively at 1B. Let her continue to hit, she will hit something soon. Griggs NEEDS to swing away and Dawson needs to DH.

I will say this, I am proud of the way Quinn and Doyle tried to lift this team up today. We all knew eventually Landry would have a bad series and that when she did we would be in trouble.
Kudos to the terrific pitching and to Doyle for picking her head up and having good at bats all day long.

Think last few years how Jaquish seems to do better at the plate when she plays 3rd. She is a full time catcher now and her production is way down. The problem is the girls don't have a catcher other than Jaquish. How is they didn't have a catcher available?
And as you stated about 3rd, there are 2 fielders who have screwed up on defense to help lose game. They are at 3rd and 2nd. And while we are at it, switch Griggs with Andrews because Andrews can cover more ground.

Playing catcher every game wears you down. Her legs are probably fatigued too. Its giving her a hard time to string some power.

This team has a collective problem, and its at the plate. Ole Miss isn't a bad team at all but its really bad to get taken to school by their pitching which has given up plenty of runs to very poor teams all season, there just isn't an excuse for it.
SEC stats are just confirming even more how bad this situation is. This is not me bashing Beth Torina but its just reality, we have a major problem with our offensive approach. I know people want to keep saying, be positive but being positive will not resolve this problem. Its not like we have a couple players in a slump that we are waiting for them to break out of, this problems goes much deeper than that.
Its unfortunate Smith pitched really well, your pitching can only hold up so much for you

I have seen her plenty of times in person and she completely dominated when she played. I don't understand how she hasn't been given any looks. She is highly regarded by everyone too, unless there is something going on behind the scene that I don't know about

All observations that were made months ago and shot down.
Torina has shite the bed thus far with the personnel. Everyday it is a different order. The best order is the one she won't write down. The crazy part is she waited until deep into SEC before she realized that she needed to make changes. I'm hoping something sticks.

Just found out about the game. Darn it... been taking care of Mom all day as her dementia is getting worse. I see the idiots are coming out of the woodwork. Seems like we're as spoiled as our baseball "fans" lately and we can't have an off or rebuilding season. Some of the commentary here is very good, but also there is plenty that makes me embarrassed to be an alumnus of LSU.

She finally moved Griggs from the top but run out Andrews-Dawson-Landry-Jaq.
Walljasper should never be in the order and should only be allowed an occasional PH to swing for the fence.

I remember in 2012 when I was still coaching. We went 32-5 the year before and graduated 8 seniors. We started 1-15 with 10 losses by 1 run and I didn't lighten up the schedule to reflect the youth on my team. Yeah I got emails and yelled at that the game passed me by and I should retire. My girls heard that as well and we all worked harder and harder to improve. We beat the #2 team in the state the next game and finished the season 21-17, district champions, and 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.
Our team is capable of the same turnaround and they have the same heart and desire as our coaches and will all come together soon! I feel it coming!!

We have a terrific coach in Beth and I love the Tigers but you do have to admit she has been awful stubborn with some of her decisions throughout the years.

I've heard that Cunningham has decided she doesn't want to be a catcher anymore. She wants to be an infielder.
