let's be clear. NBA players stay out until the early morning hours on the reg when they have a game to play
Yep.

And most black athletes that I've hung out with don't drink much when they go out. Now if they have an off day the next day, they'll get down. But most were more than capable of going out all night and not having an ounce of alcohol.

If I'm at a club like that(shoot me in the face) I'm going to be shite hammered.

Are you comparing serious injury time off to taking the night off because regular season games don't matter?

Wanna compare minutes/games played by each player compared to their peers?

Let me know...

Not sure what race has to do with it. I'd like to think most athletes (of all races) aren't idiots and know the position they put themselves in when they drink heavily in clubs.

I bet Bron wasnt drinking. Saw him in Vegas after winning the NBA finals and he drank water all night. Getting shitfaced in clubs is more of a honkey thing.
Just saw this.

I'm confused why everyone is confused by this. Made the exact same post.

In TMZ’s article about the late night partying, which also included J.R. Smith

I was at the game. JR Smith played like pure shite.

You know who wasn't out partying? Deron Williams. 35 points, 7 Reb and 9 Assists. He was awesome.

Pretty obvious., Getting completely shite hammered in a bar is more of a white thing. There are exceptions, but the rule is true in most occasions.

Clay Travis had a pretty good rant this morning about why people get annoyed by him and ended it with something like "LeBron James, king bitch millennial."

Actually ... what he said was this:

"King of the Millenials ... King of the bitches!"

He also said that LBJ has ESPN "by the taint."

If it were any other athlete, you would be correct. But it's Lebron. Everything is serious when it comes to Lebron

To be fair, Lebron brings it on himself when he goes on these dumb rampages about him being a dad or the kids are the future diatribe crap when someone says something he doesn't like.

Dude this isnt "my thing"

There is a reason it is called "white-boy wasted."

Kat Williams has done a stand up about it.

So has Chappelle

I for one definitely don't want to have more than one drink anytime I'm in a bar. I like being able to drive back to wherever I want to be.

i've actually had this conversation with some of my black friends and it seems to be split among the type of bar. in a "white" bar or club, they drink less because it gets expensive and puts them at risk of being profiled. in a "black" bar/club, though, it's on (per them)

This reminds me. I was reading a Tom Haberstroh article, and apparently NBA players are partying a lot less nowadays. They think it's because of tinder.

This is in line with the reason why I've found that black athletes don't drink that much when they're out.
