The local one here is co-located with a Taco Bell.

Next door is KFC and A&W.

Because Yankees and Middle America have no idea what fresh seafood actually tastes like.

Last one I set foot in was in T-Town (Alabummer) in '03 or '04.

Trashy folks (redundant in T-Town, I know) but dose crunky bits...

Hey, let's meet up at the former Captain D's/Hookah place on Jones Rd by the old Target and discuss the La.-Tx border and when FM 1960 was a two-lane, blacktop road.

Always a plus to have a basket full of shrimp, fish, French fries, hush puppies, clams, and crab cakes that all have the exact same flavor, and can only be differentiated by the unnatural form they are pressed into.

A fast food seafood chain restaurant in Louisiana is as useless as a used condom IMO. Nothing about fast food seafood sounds tempting to me, but obviously they do pretty good.. Otherwise they would have been closed down by now,

This. I grew up going to Kansas to visit family every summer and we would always make the 1-hour drive to LJS.

However, back in the 80s it wasn't as much a fast-food brand it is now. You actually used to have your food brought to you and you could get "doggie bags" to bring food home in.... actual small paper bags with the establishment name and location on it.

Capn Ds gives you one of those vibrating things to let you know to come and get it.

It's fancy fast food dining
