Bonds averaged 52 homeruns a year? I knew that number was gonna be high but
Holy shite that's insane.

It has to be someone from an individual sport maybe Anderson Silva, or Roger Federer.

I would go with Vitali Klitschko

45-2 record
41 KOs
2 losses cam due to injury while up on the cards

Never been knocked down
Never been behind on the cards at any point in any fight

Edwin Moses?

From 1977 to 1987 Moses won 122 consecutive races.

And set the WR 4 times.

He won gold in 1976 and 1984. And would have won gold in 1980.

Dan Gable? 181-1 wrestling mark in college.

Maddux from 1995-1999ish has to be in this discussion without looking at the numbers.

I do know he went 19-2 with a 1.63 ERA in 1995

Usain Bolt, pretty much unbeatable in the 100 and 200, and it lasted pretty long with maybe some periods where he wasn't in top shape.

Bonds, Woods, Federer, and Phelps are the first that come to mind.

I want to say guys like Jordan, Shaq, and Lebron from basketball are unrivaled in more recent basketball history.

Tiger.

Golf has the slimmest margins. And though he was up against some relative fatties, that wasn't his fault. He literally transformed the sport.

how crappy were the hitters infront of bonds, I dont remember who they were but the guy was a machine and barely drove in 100 runs a year thats ridiculous.

I believe Mike Tyson, at his peak, was the scariest boxer to ever exist.

That said, an honorable mention goes out to JR Richards -- one of the most dominant, yet relatively unknown MLB pitchers. His 4 seasons of ERA, Complete Games, IP, SO, FIP and WHIP -- the dude was absolutely incredible. And he played on some absolutely shite Astros teams. The fact he did not win the Cy Young in 79 is almost criminal. Fricking Bruce Sutter wins with only pitching 100 innings? Would have loved to see a non-stroke victim JR pitch into his 30's.
