Is Burger King really buying it though?
A company that owns The BK Lounge and Tim Hortons is buying Popeyes. IMO, I don't think anything will change. Hopefully some bigger chicken titties will happen though.

Burger King getting ready to buy out Popeyes

Did Popeyes start putting chicken in the middle of the batter on their strips?

I miss the days back in the late 80's, early 90's when Popeyes was damn good but most importantly, I'd go with my papaw just about every Sunday and he'd get whatever special they had. He'd walk in like a boss, look over the counter and say "when's the next batch coming up....(lady answers: "bout 15 min....")....he'd say "I'l wait for that"
Going home the box was so hot you could barely hold it....and the smell was just awesome!
Those are the memories I'll never forget!

This is really bad news for Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen as Buger King and it's management is a disaster.

Popeyes only kills baby chickens.

I find that their breasts are still big, but their wings look like they've been in the dryer for 2 days. They used to be a decent size. The legs kind of seem like that too.

My chicken rankings-
I have no idea how someone could choose a little white box of kids style Dino nuggets with some waffle fries over a two piece dark spicy with a biscuit and your choice of Cajun fries, Cajun rice, mashed potatoes and gravy, red beans and rice, or more. Y'all's Popeyes ain't doing it right. No amount of smiley underpaid high schoolers could take down my Popeyes. (And if you are over the age of 18 and think "tenders" are the measure of chicken cuisine, you need to grow up)

Yeah, I mean, I love Raising Canes, but without the sauce, Cane's chicken is mostly flavorless. The flavor of Popeyes blows it away.
Maybe there are some places out there that are really screwing up something. I've had some seriously awful service at Popeyes, but I can recall only one time when I thought it didn't taste really good due to someone overcooking it and the skin was extremely hard. But I live in New Orleans where they probably get it right more than anyone else. Is it that hard to get it right?

Would this be another inversion deal? Similar to what burger King did in 2015?
Wondering what Trump will say, as it was pretty obvious that the whole point is to avoid taxes.
Edit, this does not seem to be the case. Guessing they are just expanding at this point.

I guess your mileage varies depending on location but to paint all Popeyes as slow service with a broad brush is awfully dimwitted.

both have terrible service. I wish Chic Fil A would've bought out one of them.
No Popeyes during Saints games would be brutal

Popeyes ain't been the same for a number of years. Even the NOLA locations have become soulless and crappy. They keep trying to roll out new menu items. Why? It confuses the barely literate employees they have.
I mean, CFA hires a much higher caliber of employee, and their menu is much simpler.
Now... if this could lead to a Popeyes spicy tender cut in half and doubled up on a Crossianwich?
