If it's true that coach O suggested he transfer, then he won't get picked up by a BCS program. He'll have success at a lower level.

He was very talented in high school but talent can only get you so far. I was told that he did not want to put in the effort to be a great QB and was relying on his physical skills alone. I will take a smart, engaged, above avg athlete over and super talented, un willing and un intelligent player anyday.
Looks like it will be Etling as the #1
#2 - Scott,Narcisse,Brennan battle.
But,I believe the spring will give both Scott & Narcisse an edge.
I absolutely would redshirt the freshman that comes out of fall ball as the #4 QB maybe even both #3 & #4 if they both are that low and roll with Etling, Scott & McMillan No sense to waist their freshman years.

I'm not surprised. We owe a solid thank you to Brandon Harris for giving us his best during his time here. We all know that things evolved in a direction which was not to his advantage, but Tiger nation will always be grateful for his work and effort.

I'm going to be honest, I've been over Brandon Harris since his attitude issues last year. We absolutely could have used him this year. Backup is just one snap away from being the starter and Harris has ability, but it's probably best for the team and him to part ways. You don't need unnecessary attitude, drama, or division in the locker room and at times last year it appeared Brandon handled his demotion with a less than desired level of maturity.

Sorry it didn't work out, and I wish him all the best. I feel like he had a fair chance

Just think, we could have had Mason Rudolph, but we didn't want to take another quarterback in that class.

kinda surprising he doesn't want to at last compete for the job this spring
Agree
He could have transferred at the end of spring and still had a year remaining after sitting out 1 year at his next school.

He's gonna go to a spread offense and put up 20+tds. Hope he does well.

I think there is way too much blame in the coaches and not nearly enough on BH...how many overthrown screen passes? How many happy feet run backwards out of a perfect pocket, how many first read only plays do we need to see? He was not accurate, had no pocket presence and didn't seem to grasp basic concepts of the offense...I put the blame at 25 % coaching and 75% BH...
Talent isn't always enough...
Good kid though and I hope he succeeds elsewhere but I don't see it.

My deal is, do we really think Etling is the answer next year?
I think he's the best we have.

Not really a surprise.
Miles should have red shirted him.

So we could have another underdeveloped QB.

Mason Rudolph was always the better player, but not the better prospect. What's most amazing is our shittyass coaches were the first to find the guy and identify him as a possible elite college quarterback.

Yea and Scott is 210 and built like a man as well. What's your pernt.
Posted on 2/13/17 at 2:41 pm to tke857
It's sad to see him leave, but truth be told, there's no place for him in the current offensive scheme

As far as production/experience sure. An open competition is still warranted here. You still don't know what you have in the other guys.
Not saying it's ideal, but Harris wasn't get the starting job back, and even though it would be best for LSU, you can't blame the guy for wanting to go elsewhere for playing time.

Would have loved to see him stick around
Good luck to him but no thanks.
The cord needed to be cut and ways parted.
