What do they bill per hour? I am talking top 50 firms worldwide.

Depends on where they are in the firm, just like everywhere. First year associate bills less than a partner.

And city.

As stated, will depend on type of work, partner vs. associate, level of associate and office of the firm.
Top 50 firms will often have 15-20+ offices so your top partners and top offices are going to vary a lot from less significant regional offices.
But throw out some numbers and we'll tell you where we think that fits.

$750 does that sound about like the market rate?

Too much. Will soon be replaced by robots.

Google will give you your best answer... and would have taken less effort than creating this post.

Depends on the experience of the attorneys and the location of the firm, but it averages in excess of $400 per hour.

More than you actually want to know.
There are a lot of factors that go into how much they charge, and it varies between attorneys.

We'd need the market for a market rate (and the type of law, etc.), but there are certainly plenty of partners billing at 750/hr, sure.
Above the Law had a list last year of a handful of suspected 2000/hr partners.

Bankruptcy judgments are a good source for this info. I've looked through one that Skadden Arps handled; it detailed all the rates of those who worked on it. Several partners were $1200+, many associates were in the $800 range.
There's also a hugely outdated PDF floating around LINK wherein we learn that New Orleans is a damn cheap city for legal work.

Depends on city, firm, and position of billing attorney.
