I've had to start traveling a LOT for work lately and I need a podcast. I listened to season 1 of serial while driving and absolutely loved it. Season 2 was very meh.

I'm looking for something in politics, economics, science, psychology, or something like that. Definitely no sports because I get enough of that daily from other outlets.

What are some good things to listen to that you find interesting?

99% Invisible. They talk about all of what went into a lot of everyday things that no one really pays attention to. Pretty interesting stuff.

I've enjoyed listening to the podcast I Was There, Too.

Basically, a guy interviews (usually) lesser cast members from classic movies about their experiences/anecdotes from the films like ET, Poltergeist, There Will Be Blood, They Live, Aliens, Grease, etc.

As others have said, Hardcore History is the correct answer.

It's interesting, and there are many many many hours available, so is an excellent choice for even the longest drives. I'm on hour 8 of about 24 on Blueprint for Armageddon.

Bill Burr--Monday morning podcast

The Dave Ramsey show is interesting for a month or two. Just to see how much of our country is in debt. Gets old/repetitive after a while.
