False.. You would have to be the fire chief for 25 years, then maybe if the investment interest rates were stupid highly favorable of your money, AND you prenup’d the first marriage before the divorce. And if you don’t have kids. Lol This isn’t happening strictly with fire service money.
Ok….I guess the 100s of retired firemen I know, which most never made chief, are liars or are suffering from schizophrenia.

Texas is in excellent state for the fire service.
24/48 or 49/96 are the most common schedules these days.
You accumulate friends and stories more than anything.
If you make it to 25+ yrs you retire a multi millionaire. Current retirees at my dept(LA), retiring at 50-55yo+live another 20yrs will make around 2million in retirement.

I can do everything except the 100m, maybe. The 100m would be an all out effort which terrifies me and my quads haha.
I regularly run 400m and 800m repeats and lift the big lifts (sq,bp,dl) heavy(5rm) at least 1x a week.

re: Which win was a bigger deal in Louisiana? 2003 National Championship or Super Bowl XLIV?

My grandmother cried when Tracey Porter went pick six.
The majority of my 10 years in the fire service has been in the heart of bawcomeville. Fascinating place.
We are on year 2 of homeschooling. I have 3 boys (8, 6, & 2). I am a firefighter and wife is RN. We have really enjoyed the move and feel far less stressed. We do school 3-4 days/week for 1-2hrs per day. We travel all the time and the boys have progressed academically much faster than comparable kids. I still worry about their social development but we combat that with BJJ, sports and church.
Cotton Hill pulls into driveway and gets out of the car to a sobbing Peggy working in flower beds.

I recently showed my 6&7 yo boys these movies. I had so much fun watching them watch the movies. They’re full blown swashbucklers now hahaha.
Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.…Goodnight

I wanted to share this exchange with y’all that occurred on our way to the beach. This was between the wife (no pics) and myself.
Macrell : so we gonna get some oysters while we’re there?
Wife: yeah sounds good
Macrell: you know…..oysters…..are an aphrodisiac…..
Wife: oh yeah! They don’t have a gender.
Macrell: what?!?! No!
Wife: oh thats right it means they impregnate themselves.
Macrell: my goodness…..

When Gosling said, "I don't think I can die." I had to pause the movie. I nearly died from laughter. Reminded me of my brothers life hahaha

Up 31. I’m done and opponents has PIT D, freiermuth, and NHarris. I’m concerned haha
UPDATE:
since the thread gained new life I figured I’d update. I signed up for a 100miler in feb with shorter ultras every month leading up to that. Also planning a rim2rim2rim Grand Canyon run at the end of April so looks like I’ll shoot (pun intended) for a snip in March.

Watching Brother Martin at Ouachita tonight. BM up 21-0 1st quarter. Sirmons definitely has the lateral quickness and a great burst but he’s a one man show right now. I definitely see where he’s gonna impress in camps bc he’d be difficult to touch in 7vs7.
LAC def or SF def

LAC vs jax and SF vs Denver. I like the pass rush by LAC but I also feel SF gonna be low scoring.
