Career averages, GOTTA put the man in, I think most people don't realize how great of a player Yao was.

Yao

19.0 pts
9.2 reb
.524 FG
.833 FT

Timmy Duncan
19.0 pts
10.8 reb
.506 FG
.696 FT

Yes. This is strictly based on the historical significance and global awareness that came along with his career.

Everyone gets in the basketball hall of fame so yes he should

When healthy Yao was the best big in the league for 4 or 5 years

You're trying to say Duncan was not likable?

HOF seems to be more about abnormal talent in that sport + The athletic ability to maintain the level of talent

Yet that doesn't explain why Phil knight is in the hall of fame.

Spurs were/are known as the most boring squad for well over a decade thanks largely in part to Timmy. If he was likeable he wouldn't be caled boring would he?

yao deserves to make it from the global standpoint alone.

his on court was phenomenal when healthy, a big man with a ton of finesse, ability to make free throws, and one of the best 2-way players in his time. key word: healthy. Dude played a full NBA season, then turned around to play for china, then came back to play for the rockets, then back to china, and kept going on and on. No rest, no break, and those things are necessary for big men.

all of the "well so and so is a big 7+footer, he has an excuse to shoot FT poorly because his hands are huge" was made absolutely pointless because of yao.

You are doubling down are you stupidity again.

Yao belongs in no question, but you trying to call Duncan unlikable due to a style they played is laughable.

I guess we need to call AI, Kobe, and LeBron the most likable guys ever.

Duncan known as one of THE biggest whiner/complainers in the league for his whole career, if he was a likeable guy would he make biggest whiner lists?

Absolutely a yes. There's no NBA HOF and he gave recognition to international players that not many others have.
