If you had to choose: Walther PPQ, HK P30 LEM v1, HK VP9, sig 226

All 9mm caliber (I say that because HK P30 can also come in .40).
Assume price is not an issue.
In what order would you buy then and why? Top choice?

Is it something you are going to carry?
Or just a range toy?

What's the purpose?
P226 is a nice range gun but it's a full size duty weapon, the other 3 are polymer mid size.
The PPQ has a very short light trigger, the VP9 has a nice trigger as well but the reset isn't as positive as the PPQ. The light LEM P30 is a whole diff animal and has a very long reset. Alot of people prefer the LEM for AIWB carry.
If I were to carry just one it would be the VP9.
For a strictly range gun, I'd go 226 Legion.
I own all 4 in 9mm.

The Sig p226 also can be bought in a hammer fired DAO like the HK LEM. It's the DAK version and if you could shoot those two side by side you'd really be able to tell which one you want. Those two would be a the top of my list, but I've never fired a DAK.
I don't see any advantage to striker over a hammer fired DAO except price.

The rest. Of course this is for range use or for a night stand gun. I wouldn't carry any of those options personally.

Well, that is basically a hammer fired vs. striker fired comparison. So that's your first choice. I'm really into hammer fired right now so i would move on to the sig vs. HK. I really love HK LEM trigger. Its reset is not bad. The sig is also great and has a great SA and DA trigger. I've heard sig's DAK (DA only) trigger sucks. Be sure to get the SRT version and I also have the reduced reach version for smaller hands on a bulky grip. Since you listed two striker fired, i would recommend the HK. I love that trigger. However, the sig is really great too and as an all steel tank of a pistol, its a real value holder.

I'd buy them all then give them to my friends on the OB

My vp9 is amazing. One of if not the most customizable grip right out the box. Super sleek, and shoots smooth.
Dont think I've shot any of the others so I can't give an opinion. But you can't go wrong with the vp9

Is the VP9 reliable? Does it FTE/FTF or seize? I saw that military arms YouTube video that made me gun shy about it.

that video is garbage, tens of thousands of VP9 owners have said its bullshite, including myself. the gun is G2G. Easily a top 3 option for striker fired semiautos
Just because 1 guy got a shite gun doesn't mean they're all shite

Since the P226 was the OB's pick as favorite pistol several years ago and I have two and really love them, I will go with it.
I want a VP9 and will have one
The other two I can't comment on as I've never played with them but I do own an H&K USP and have owned a USP Compact. They are both amazing guns so I wouldn't expect less from the P30.
