This gun, a variant of the P320, will replace the venerable M9 as made by Beretta and adopted in 1985. While a number of companies submitted guns, rumor has it that it came down to Glock and SIG

Surprised Sig got it over Glock, but a few federal agencies carry sigs I'm pretty sure over the Glock.

I'm a little surprised Glock didn't get it but Sig makes a great firearm. I saw a stat not too long ago that NYCPD has the choice of 3 firearms for duty being either a Glock, Sig, and can't remember the third option but Glock was the overwhelming majority chosen.

so much meh. hate the frame and the whole thing just feels cheap. Give me a G19 all day

they announced the VTAC model for their X-Series that is 100x better. shouldve gone with this one.

Didn't they want a modular weapon?
P320 is the only one that fits that bill

I have one and enjoy it.

I'm glad they didn't. Not that I need a new Glock, but prices were already climbing pretty fast -- no need for further imbalance in supply & demand for G19's.

Worthless waste of money. Stick to the current M9's and spend the money on training.

Idk they are already carrying a shat ton of weight around. I would want to save that weight wherever I could.

M9 is a piece of shite. Glad they are moving away from it.
