My wife's friend got into one. Had American in the title. Basically was a buying club and it cost $2800 to be a member. They had the whole pitch down. It was really crazy because this was a longtime friend of my wife. It shocked her that this woman got into this.
I told my wife no way. It all hinges (like any MLM) on you selling it to others. And I am no salesman. My mom got into Amway in the 1980's and I remember cassette tapes of diamond level speakers. Mom lasted a few months. But one of the people she got involved went in deep. Was left with a garage full of products they couldn't sell and owing money. My mom felt terrible.
For the OP there is no help. Also I have a few women I know who got into Plexus. It just becomes more of a sales thing and a "health" thing with all the drinks. I'd just let it run its course. One friend (Facebook) of mine went to the national convention. It is very crazy and cult like. And it is a health and wellness product. I chuckled at all of the big girls in those photos.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

You are thinking of Avon
haha yep i think we probably still have some at my parents house
FWIW I put Avon and Mary Kay in a different category. They at least do substantial investments in product lines and have fairly long histories of people using many of the products.

You can buy every single supplement in plexus pink drink in pure form on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. Also plexus has a proprietary blend that is vastly under dosed. The entire scoop of plexus doesnt physically contain a large enough serving to create of an effacious dose for any of the supplement listed on the label.
AKA your paying for under dosed flavored water.

A guy at work that everybody likes started doing Team National which is another one of these things and he's got quite a few people signed on. I'm just waiting for the blow up when they realize they aren't getting rich.
I let a guy give me his sales pitch on this over lunch one day. It was complete garbage all you get was discounts at random stores. Walmart and target you got like a 1-2% discount. Was around $800 for two years or like $2000 for life time membership that covered your grandkids etc. I liked that they had an option to finance it at 18%

A niece (through marriage) is into this for about 2-3 yrs. she claims to be senior Ruby which gets her over $4k a month, so she is upline. Works for her. I run from pyramid schemes with the quickness......

That was it Team National. Not American.
It was silly honestly. I could not believe this normal looking couple were into this. At some point I got a beer. They looked like a couple you'd want to get a beer with. Not sit and talk about nonsense.
One "perk" or pitch was that your own purchases of anything were tax deductible as they were bought through your "business". But that sounded sketchy.
Again, we were just blown away that these folks got duped into this. Part of their pitch even had a higher up call us and answer any questions. Team National also seemed to work the Christian angle as well?

Cults cant function without appealing to some higher power. Its how they are able to execute their mind control.
Amway was and probably still is really bad about it. Bill Britt died a few years back i sure hope he is burning in hell right now. Using Christianity to embezzle thousands of people dry

Went to a "meeting" at one of these things like two years ago when I was broke and one of my buddy's cousins wife (smoking hot) roped me into going
It was the insurance one. It's crazy how for about 20 minutes I was completely wrapped up in it and they wanted me to sign up for the "90 dollar fee to get your license" and I luckily told them I want to sleep on it. So I then realized how sketchy the whole thing was after an hour or so
It's so cultish tho. Crowd of people all chanting and rooting for random "higher ups" or leaders. They'd have games and giveaways to rope the new people in. Even had a former LSU kicker as the head Speaking talking about how much this company changed his life and shite. It was so creepy.

This was exactly how mine went,he called her his mentor. Thankfully he didn't pressure at all so I didn't call him out.
My new strategy for this is to tell them I will sign up but will need them to front the sign up/inventory cost (since it's a sure thing) then I will split my profits/ savings with them 50/50.
When they won't do this it will prove it's a scam

I've sold Lexus and Plexus. From Long Beach to Texas.

Plexus Worldwide doesn't hold a candle to Prestige Worldwide.

Just saw this on my feed, just to show what kind of people they target
599 dollars a MONTH income? That's over 50 percent less than fricking minimum wage. And they used it as a selling point

When I googled Plexus, this address popped up.

With that said, I think a buddy of mine was in this.. If not it was some type of workout drink. He would call me up and ask if he could introduce me to something and he wanted me to go to a meeting with him. I ducked and dodged and eventually he finally got out of it.
