Could be a ploy

I know Amway Diamonds and such would tell their downlines to go into massive debt to buy nice houses, clothes, and cars like Cadillacs in order to appear ultra successful and attribute that success to Amway, that way they will get others to sign onto Amway because they see the nice cars and houses and think it works.

There's always a story like this. Supposedly her friend made $300,000.00 last year alone selling just Plexus!

You can't tell people they shouldn't fall for these scams. You might as well just walk right up to them and tell them they're fricking stupid.

You don't want to feel better, have more energy, lose weight, lactate more, become more fertile, etc.?*

*All things I have seen claimed to be the benefits of plexus.

Dunno if your post is sarcasm or not but I actually knew a guy who became a millionaire via Amway. In the process he destroyed two marriages and his relationships with his three children. But the guy was damn proud of what he built via Amway.

Turned out he refused to pay income taxes on his gains and wound up losing it all to Uncle Sam and divorce settlements.

OK so I just googled it and I think the real question should be: why are you afraid to be independently wealthy?

It seems your friend is on the right track in life and ready to be her own boss and your fear and petty jealousy are preventing you from having an open mind. Why not listen to a she has to say?

Only thing you can do is avoid being a source of "loans" when it all comes crashing down. Wife has a friend who swore by the stuff. Even gave my wife some to try for free to try to lure her in (the old drug dealer trick). Wife luckily saw no effects of the koolaid and didn't even finish the free supply. Girl tried desperately to get my wife to get in on the scheme and talked about all the money she was making, still while living in a trailer and literally driving a broken down car. A couple months pass and she starts calling my wife again literally begging for a loan to pay her trailer rent.

Bonus question: Is selling Plexus trashy?

It's not Amway, it's Confederated Products. It's a different company, & a different quality of product..

this friend of mine is very wealthy. Her husband, also my friend is a very hard worker and has built a successful business from the ground up. I just hope this doesn't some day jeopardize his well earned wealth.

Another ploy they use to trick people.

That 300,000 is likely volume sold and not profit.

Amway idiots use this trick all the time. Say they made $100,000 last year on Amway. They may have sold $100,000 in product but they never tell you the cost of goods sold. How much was their business expenses - inventory, gas used to drive around, tool costs, function costs, and so on.

Guy who wrote Merchants of Deception sold $500k worth of product every year but his operating net profit was about $32k. He busted his arse like crazy, quit his job and all to make $32k.

It will

My family is first hand evidence of how MLMs can ruin a family. My dad had a really good job when i was little yet got too deep in Amway.

I blame Amway for my parents getting divorced too.

frick that company. Major reason why i hated Trump picking Betsy DeVos in his cabinet.
