It must really suck to never truly be able to put down some roots.

There are better options. I trust Alleva doesn't know any of them.

I just watched his team lose by 30 to New Mexico last night. There's no way Musselman should be ahead of Stans or Kermit Davis

You should've kept watching because Nevada won in OT.

Yeah Nevada was down 14 with 97 seconds left and UNM magically snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Mussleman would run circles around your boy jones. Down 14 with 97 sec. left and won!!! Jones wouldn't know to call the timeouts he had much less add value when he does.

He'll be able to put down roots in Reno if that's what he wants.

I downvoted you not because I don't think LSU should keep Jones, but because LSU should attempt to do better than Musselman. Miss St got a coach that went to 3 final 4s and Auburn got Pearl. yes both had off the court issues but if those schools can get those coaches than LSU is capable of getting a proven bigtime winner at the collegiate level.

fans are desperate for a change and that's why Stansbury, Davis, etc are being tossed out....because they couldn't do much worse. Stansbury was let got at Miss St after failing to win with several NBA prospects. sound familiar? Davis' track record is very similar to that of CJJ.

In all fairness, they would all be an upgrade from the current product but there ARE some better candidates if LSU will even pay middle of the road type money. Right now LSU is getting what they are paying for.

Damn. That was a sweet boom.

Glad to see tiger bait took it well.

Mussel man is a helluva coach. Would take him in a heartbeat. But Nevada is his Alma Mattar, probably his chosen home.

The main thing I remember about Musselman was his father. Coached the expansion team Timberwolves. Was fired because the owners thought he was winning too much too fast.

I want Musselman to stay in Nevada just so that he has a home for more than one year

Beat me to it. I was just going to post the same thing.

I've been suggesting on here that we go after Musselman since it became woefully apparent that Jones in in way over his head.

He's been the HC of two NBA teams and would kill it here if given the chance.

LSU could do much worse and you know ole Snow Peas is not going to go and get a Tony Bennett or somebody of that level. (Although he could have hired him back when he ludicrously thought Johnson was a better choice)
