I can accept that Putin wanted Trump to win, but

What I am not hearing in then media is any discussion of why. Now, if I were Putin I wouldn't have any concerns about saying publicly what was wrong with HRC's ideas and plans. Maybe he has a problematic reason for not doing so.
But the media doesn't seem to be discussing why Trump is better for Russia.

I agree. There are 2 important questions that I have wanted to be answered and have not heard the answers to.
1. WHY did Putin want Trump to win over Hillary.
2. Where are some specific examples of "fake news" originating from Russia. Actual articles.

I don't think he had a preference except for the next POTUS to NOT be Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Who wants WWIII?

I don't think Putin cared who won. If anything he probably preferred Hillary. I think he assumed like a lot of people that Hillary was going to win and he wanted to undermine her presidency.

I haven't seen one mention of motive in the print media.
The closest I've seen is on a conspiracy source that says Putin wants to re-establish the USSR and that begins with taking back the Eastern Block.
Supposedly, Putin is planning a big military exercise in Eastern Europe in February. There is such an exercise planned but I'm still not convinced of the motive.

Hillary understood Russia is in the crappper, their military is shite, their economy is shite, they would have faced sanctions and an aggressive Nato under Hillary and she knew how to exploit that going forward.
Trumps has business in Russia that would be revealed if he would released his tax Returns...I think it was Don Jr. said 'alot of money coming in from Russia in 2008, and that Russia 'makes up a disproportionate makeup of their assets'
Trump say Putin is great leader, when in fact he is a dictator
Trump say our 'intelligence' dont know
Putin wanted Trump to win because he can manipulate him and apparently its working

The FBI reddit guy said he wanted Trump to win because it would insure that there would be no WW3.

It's all in the report.
It goes back to Putin's 2011 election in which an independent election watchdog organization based in Germany I think concluded Putin's election was rigged including things like stuffing the ballot box.
Hillary as SOS was very vocal internationally about the election corruption by Putin. Thousands of Russians protested in the streets and Putin ordered the arrest of thousands of protesters.
Putin explicitly blamed Hillary Clinton for the protest riots and was looking to get revenge for the delegitimization of his presidency.
That's it in a nutshell.

Because 'Crooked' is a Soros puppet who would start a proxy war with Russia. And Putin knows it.

What concerns me is the lack of outrage over the information from the hacking that was made public. How can any self respecting person support a party that operates in that manner. Perhaps attempting to place blame for the hacking is a smokescreen to avoid discussing that.

There are two valid reasons why Putin would prefer Trump to Clinton:
1) Oil - the Russians control the flow of natural gas into Europe through their partnership with the Iranians. This is not good for business for the Gulf States, primarily Saudi Arabia. There is a reason why the Clinton Foundation was accepting millions of dollars from the Gulf States themselves and their proxies. There was an expectation that the Clintons would use their power and influence to derail the flow of Iranian petrol to Europe through Russia.
2) Russia's Civil Wars - The Russians have been fighting wars with Chechen and Dagestani Muslims for decades. These hot zones are in the Caucasus region not far from the violence in Turkey and Syria. The Russians want groups like ISIL contained less the violence spill over into the Caucasus. They know Clinton is nothing more than a neoconservative and is far more likely to meddle and engage in war in the region, especially to depose Assad. Trump actually presents as the better choice because he has tended to be more of a non-interventionist given his opposition to the Iraq War.

HRC wanted a no fly zone over Syria to depose Assad. In the debates, when pressed on whether a no-fly zone would entail shooting down Russian jets if necessary, she said yes. Hillary was calling for a war against Russia. Russia does not want a war with the United States, so if they were going to support someone, they would obviously be supporting the candidate NOT calling for war against them.

But the media doesn't seem to be discussing why Trump is better for Russia.
You are right though. There is no interest in the reality that the bottom line is, they've basically acknowledged that all the leaked shite was true.
Yet, they care not about the content nor the why of it being released.
If they were being honest, they'd be forced to acknowledge some realities.
1)Nations seek to influence every single one of our elections. This is actually pretty much normal and common.
2)Influence =/= violating the integrity of the election. ALL information that comes out during an election "influences" the election. Having 10 women claim sexual assault only to disappear from the face of the planet "influenced" the election.
3)The bottom line is, the info was true. Every retort beyond that is nonsense. For example.
A)"But they were one sided". Really? So, we here in America have suddenly decided that if we get TRUE information from a source, we should disregard it if that source didn't give us true bad info about both sides? When did this standard start?
B)But it's "foreign" influence. Well, not for nothing folks, but I'm gonna break some news to you. The fact some foreign leader doesn't shoot straight with should bother you A LOT less than the fact that on election night, every individual on every major network practically fell into tears. You think THEY have been shooting straight with you? Shouldn't it bother you MORE that the leaks CLEARLY indicate that most of the major networks have become defacto arms of the Dem party?
This is the silliness. The whole Russian thing, even if I believed every last accusation against them, shouldn't actually merit a blip of concern. OK. True bad info came out about one of the candidates. So?

I heard there were supposed nefarious actions going on in mid 2015. If so,why didn't they nip it in the bud then?
The DNCs shite cyber security/negligence should be the biggest story.

Because Putin said war was likely if Clinton was elected. Putin wanted Trump to win because he didn't want war.

A.) Trump's knowledge of foreign policy is shite. Regardless of your feelings for HRC, she knows more than damn near anyone in terms of foreign policy. Russia would prefer not to mess with her.
B.) trump publicly wondered if we should just go ahead and "give" the Crimea to Russia.
C.) When Putin "flattered" trump by saying " he's really something" or similar generic praise, Trump, hungry for approval, assumed aputin was complimenting him...he wasn't, he was just being PC. Trump fell for it.
