At what point do they start pricing out the average fan?
It's already happening. While I could probably still afford it, when I look at the cost of a trip for two to a game and weekend in BR, I have other things I can spend that money on. There'll never be nothing like the Tiger Stadium experience, but a large screen in a comfortable den with food I like for a hell of a lot less, it's hard to turn that down. If I want to take in a game in every season, finding tickets doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. Funny thing also happens as you get older (I'm in my 60's), some of us have more money but have less time and have to try to strike a balance between the two. When JA started charging for parking, I let my tickets go (had them since the early 80's). I knew someone else was there to snatch them up, but really didn't care. Also had tickets to Basketball, but that has been such a shite show, that I let those go as well.

They wonder why the place is empty in the 3rd quarter...
No they don't. They already been paid. That's all they care about.

Perhaps they should actually win something before threating loyal season ticket holders that higher priority points could take their seats.

original south endzone is the most diehard fans in the stadium too.
Yea. A friend of the family is giving up his 6 season tickets there he's had from 1983ish....
Glad I got to bring my entire family as it may not happen for many many years to come

yep, it's been going this way for awhile now. the NFL priced blue collars out years ago. remember the Dog Pound in Cleveland? as soon as they built the new stadium and PSL's happened, the avg joe has been priced out of the market. but that's the NFL; it's college that pisses me off. money is all that's important now. I understand LSU has to keep up and I want them too it's just that across the country college football has pretty much become a money grabbing sport. it's sad.
It's true. I always wonder if it's cyclical and if it'll ever go back to normal where die hard blue collar fans will pack the stadium rather than half the stadium full of the cheese and wine club. If anyone wants to know what happened to the lore of tiger stadium that's in large part what happened. And it's not just LSU

I've had south end zone seats for 22yrs and between tickets, taf, parking, seat backs, product on the field, traffic and alleva leading the way I'm done. Not renewing

Unless your family earns an income of about 750K, this is just gonna happen. The TAF was a genius idea and look who was partially behind it with the General -- one Stanley Bertman.
This was not made for longevity, but for new beginnings. I noticed that many of the people who sat next to me from 1995 through 2014 had changed vastly...from a guy who owned a plumbing company to a school board president to now a rotation among different members of a Fortune 500 Company.

After being an original South Stadium Club ticket holder for the last 3 years I just got a letter saying I can enroll for another 3 year commitment then "the seats will be subject to reassignment for the 2020 season using Priority Points". In other words invest $13,800 PER SEAT (plus ticket cost) for six years then you might lose them.
The University of Texas did this same thing to fans when Patterson became the AD......They struggle most games to fill DKR and if someone tells you different they are lying.

Why would anyone pay even a quarter of that for what amounts to 3 decent games at home next year? What a crappy value for a mediocre product.
I can watch 8 professional games for much less.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This seems a little outrageous.

You'd better be at the top of the list for Buffalo Wild Wing Citrus Bowl Tickets.

It's about 2300 per ticket per season for another 3 year commitment. Then they can take your seats and reassign them. I'm done.

At what point do they start pricing out the average fan? If they think charging $5.50 for bottled water is reasonable, soon the average Louisianan will be taking out loans for season tickets. There is a breaking point...
The breaking point is already starting. 5 years from now the college football landscape will be completely changed. High priced tickets despite record revenue from TV, etc and availability of games on TV or streamed will send the average attending fan packing.
I'm done in 2 years.

I don't get all you guys that are freaking out over Season Tickets.
There are hundreds of tickets in the lower bowl that are available for all games at or mostly way below face for sale outside the stadium every game. It's never a problem to find a ticket.
The Alabama game every other year is the only game where they're not quite as plentiful.
Of course, if you don't want to spend the time buying tickets before the game, then by all means spend the $$$$$$$$.
Not worth it to me any longer. I gave up my ST's many years ago and DO NOT miss them at all. I'm still in the stadium................

Why doesn't LSU/TAF just hold an auction for season tickets every June? It's essentially what they are doing anyway and it seems more efficient than all this Priority Points BS. It also prevents this sort of (justified) butt-hurt.
