Miyagi knew - apparently by what he taught - basic yet totally illogical and fake Karate.

So - despite his claims of potentially fighting to the death in Okinowa...and jump out of the way side kick to the belly and waxing on/waxing off...isn't going to hurt anyone or kill anyone...except keep pools from being cleaned.

Cobra Kai guy had a much better chance of doing something.

Who's he beating?

Chong Li
Jackson
Dux
Monkey Man
Sumo
Paco

All whip Miyagi. Maybe generic blue gi guy or generic yellow gi guy he would have a shot against.

Point karate and the kumite are two different things.

I could see young Miyagi beating a guy or two maybe.

Then Jackson would give him a big knee to the face and a 'Yeah!'

Ageist motherfrickers.

How about this old man? You think this guy could have kicked some arse at the faggy Kumite? I do.

Dude fled to the other side of the world leaving his beloved and family behind because a guy that liked her wanted to fight him over her.

Think about that for a minute.

Happy Days Miyagi backed by the power of the Fonz. All day every day. Wait, is the kumite a cook off? If not nevermind.

Miyagi could probably do it if he used Indiana Jones' whip. Could definitely do it if he used a light sabre.

Rules, what rules?

This is a list of all the Kumite fighters. Miyagi would wreck at least 10 of those guys, but no way he wins it all.

He couldn't even beat up Richie Cunningham, which is pretty bad...
