I think UNO is going to be pretty decent this year too. They did better than I would have thought last year and they return a lot of their key pieces, especially on the pitching staff. The lose some key bats but got some potential high impact JUCO transfers.

Any poll before April is retarded. And CB has a ton of SEC bias.

Man I really hope this team can make a run. I love LSU sports across the board but early summer NCAA championship baseball is such a good time

Pssh. I'm starting my poll on 1/30 after LSUE plays their first series. It's gonna be the best poll, you watch.

Teams like SLU, tech and mcneese might be as good as they have ever been

Tech's run last year was because they brought in a shite ton of JUCO's under Goff. He's gone and so are all of their contributors.

They will take a step back.

Based on?

The concern would be that, outside of Dunn, we have a very green, unproven assistant coaching staff. I used to think that didn't matter, then I watched Grewe turn a pretty good staff into garbage. It may not show up this year if there is a problem, though. It may show up in recruiting.

Meh, Cannizaro was green and he worked out just fine.

Right now we have, essentially, what we had when Grewe was brough in: two people as the paid assistants whose expertise is regarding the same facet. Windmill and Dunn are both pitching guys. We've turned the offense over to an unpaid guy who has never done it before.

The level of experience in baseball between Cannizaro when hired and Gibbs is enormous. Not saying it won't work out, but this goes back to why does a program with LSU's advantages in baseball take stupid chances with the Ferrari of a program it has?

Thinks MS St is the most recognizable brand in college baseball.

Difference is that we have a legitimate pitching coach.

Grewe's role at LSU was a glorified recruiter.

So excited for this season. When can I start talking baseball here without being ridiculed for it?

The difference is we don't have a legitimate hitting coach now.
