I wasn't much into football until my dad got season tickets in 1958. Got to go to all the games and have been a fan since.
My favorite player - Billy Cannon.

1978. Alexander the Great. Carlos Carson. Losses actually started to hurt. That was a first for me

Although you are correct that all the games were not televised like they are now, that game would of been on tv if not.for Auburn still being on a tv ban due to being on probation. It was a pretty big game.

1969 - I wasn't old enough to know much but my Dad loved his Tigers and at that time I loved anything he loved. I came into my own in the early 70s.

1993. Nice upset win against Alabama on some fuzzy channel that broadcast Jefferson Pilot Sports. Three-game winning streak late in the season against Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tulane. The Arkansas loss that kept us out of a bowl game was brutal.

I think it was 1996. My first game was the LSU vs Norte Dame game. LSU lost something like 24-6, but it's one of the first good memories I have with my dad. I'm pretty sure LSU got a rematch in the Independence Bowl that year and won that one. I always liked LSU, but it took the magic of Death Valley to completely win me over

Growing up I wasnt able to see all the games but I would read about them in the paper and replay them on NCAA Football 2003. So I'd say about then was when my interest started. The first game I watched was sometime in the late 90s vs florida or auburn. My first game in the stadium was my freshman year in 2011.

1986. By then, I knew who each starter was on both sides of the ball. I can tell you more about the 86 team than I can about last year's team. LTM vs. STM.

But when was the first season you actually took it all in and became a dedicated fan, emotionally invested in the program? Also, who was that one player you remember from that season the most. Just want to get an idea of the different generations on the board.

1982, till this day still my favorite Tiger team.

Dalton Hilliard
Alan Risher
Herman Fontonot
Gary James
James Britt
Rydell Malancon
Ramsey Dardar

Followed them all growing up, but from the sugar bowl against Illinois (I was like 12) forward is when I actually started remembering individual games. Before that, I just remember the 90s when my brother would ask my dad if the saints or LSU would ever be good. The river city relay is the first saints game I really vividly remember as a kid.

So like 2001 to 2003 is when I really got into football in general. Don't really remember much before middle school or so.
