Can LSU realistically expect to land any 4 or 5 star recruits out of FL now?

Look at the coaches in the state of Florida now:

Jimbo
McElwain
Strong
Richt
Davis
Kiffin
Frost

Will it even be worth the expense to go talk to those kids?

*Not being negative at all. Simply food for thought & discussion*

if we're competing for recruits with FIU and FAU then we've got bigger problems

The Kiffin, Strong, Davis, and Frost are going to take the 3 star kids that get away. I don't think it will make much of an impact. Now smaller schools that were pulling those guys from Fla will run into problems.

We can't even get instate 4 and 5 stars, what makes you think we can get them from FL?

Is a remarkably bad recruiter for UF. Miami even with Richt is a shadow of its former self and doesn't have shite for facilities. FSU can only take 25 per year. The rest of those folks coach at directional schools. So yes.

Typical doom and gloom LSU fan. It should be more problems for Fla if any but you like to worry, don't you?

Jimbo - not everyone's flavor
McElwain - not worried at all about him
Strong - not worried about him
Richt - he's alright, but can't get them all (and doesn't have the recruiting draw a lot of other places will)
Davis - not worried about him
Kiffin - meh - if he's convincing kids to go to FAU instead of LSU, then we're in real trouble and will have a new coach soon
Frost - not worried about.

What exactly are you worried about?

This is the essence of the rant right here. Ignorant doom and gloom thread.

With O leading I doubt we land them from our own state.

What five star kid wants to go play for Strong or Kiffin? Both have been failures and coach at shitty schools. They will go after juco kids and transfers to succeed. It's the only way.

There have ALWAYS been big time coaches in Florida. There are a LOT of recruits and LSU can stand on it's own merits.

Answer to OP = yes.

Not gonna stop recruiting Florida, so not gonna stop landing Florida recruits. LSU has a historically recent pipeline through Florida and that won't be changing any time soon.

Well, it has always been a zero-sum-game with many OOS schools competing there. I'd say it will get more difficult, but only slightly.
