I know nothing about toy RC cars but today I played with my nephew's and I'm hooked and want to get one for myself.

Is this a good one to start off with? - LINK

Don't know how much you want to spend but I think Traxxas brand is one of the better ones

I think I want to keep it under a hundred dollars preferably.

If you're "hooked$ then get a real hobby car. Go to a hobby shop and see what they offer. These things will break and you want a shop close by with parts to repair it. Don't buy online. Traxxas makes a good car.

All of this.

I'm not normally this guy, but adults playing with remote control cars is definitely trashy.

If you are in BR go check out Hobby Town they have a large selection and spare parts for most things they sell.

Get yourself a Tamiya Freightliner. Best $400 you'll ever spend.

Not a remote control toy car...but my husband recently bought an Anki Overdrive set. He bought it to play with his nephew and his brother in law(although I had fun playing with it as well so I'm sure we will set it up on occasion at home). You set up the track how you want and the little cars are controlled by an app you download on your phone. The cars learn the track though so you are basically just controlling the speed of the car. You can also launch "weapons" at other cars(basically just slows that car down).

I have a 1980's Toyota MR2 rc car. You can have it. Come and get it. I'll leave the light on.

I have a Team Associated RC-10 sitting in my closet that I bought around 1984. That thing was the shite back then.

I know crap about rc but have been on YouTube bc my 6 yo wants one for Christmas. Look at the ecx amp from horizon hobby. 129$ and seems to be like a traxxas.
