And i"m not saying Manning didn't deserve these or the writers are even biased towards him, I just mean in general.

Brees deserved to win the MVP in 2009. Both teams did pretty close to equally as well in the regular season, and Brees had a better statistical year in almost every category except a little over 100 yards less.

2011 would have been an MVP caliber year most years for Brees, but Aaron Rodgers beat out an all time great year with an even better year.

Correct. And the system is Drew Brees.

Brees is a Hall of Famer but no quarterback in history has the resume of accomplishments Peyton has. The most Pro Bowls The most MVPs The most All Pro nods The most Touchdowns The most yards The most game winning drives The most franchises led to a super bowl title Etc etc

Brady will own half of those records in about 2 1/2 yrs.....also owns every post season record there is...

I love Brees, but to me, the turnovers are gonna be what keeps him from being a top 2-3 QB perception wise. That and not being a perennial playoff participant. I'm still sick about that 2011 loss to San Fran as I think that 2nd SuperBowl(which I believe was very likely) would have done a whole lot for his legacy. Outside of New Orleans.

I agree. I think Brees is a top 10 qb ever, but I don't understand people who say he's top 3. Im content with him just being awesome . Also don't understand the haters who can't admit how good he is.

Give me any reasons why Peyton will be considered to have the better career over Brees....He lost a lot of important playoff games,

He's played in many more playoff games. When he was out, the Colts went 3-13 or something like that. He rejuvenated the Broncos and also won a Super Bowl with them. He's won two Super Bowls and played in 3. Brees will finish with one. Manning changed the nature of QB in the NFL.

In single season passer ratings, Manning is #2 and #6. Brees highest is #12. Career ratings, Manning is 95.5, Brees 95.6

Manning holds the NFL record for passing yards in a season, after a severe neck injury. Manning has about 80 more TDs than Drew. We will see how Drew finishes.

Manning is #1 and #3 in single season TD's. Brees highest is 5th.

4th quarter comebacks. Manning is 1st. Brees is 10th.

Manning has many more MVP's and Pro Bowls

Manning and Brady are top 3

Brees is definitely top 10, probably around 7-8, with a chance to rise. Unfortunately he'll probably never have an MVP or another ring. If he does get another ring or MVP he should be mentioned as top 4.

I like both manning and Brees but if these QBs played in today's games with the rules we have with hitting QBs or PI then give me

Moon
Montana

All time these are my top 10 in no order since 1980 because I never saw any play earlier than 1980

Montana
Moon
Brees
Manning
Brady
Favre
Kelly
Elway
Young
Rodgers

Peyton was the best at his position way more times than Brees. Payton is huge for brees' career. Peyton was huge for Peyton's career.

Those bad defenses are a reason for some of Brees's stats... some games he has to keep racking up 400 yards and 4 TDs to give us a chance, whereas other QBs win with 300 yards and 3 TDs
