After 37 games
Coach 1 (White)
18-19 record
1 bowl game
2 losing seasons
0 conference titles
Weakest major conference in college football
Coach 2 (Black)
16-21 record
1 bowl game
3 losing seasons
0 conference titles
Weakest major conference in college football
Coach 1 got 5 seasons. Coach 2 got fired after 3 seasons.

Tell me about Coach 1's winning season...what was the record and when during his tenure did it happen? The fact that he had one winning season vs zero is significant.

7-5 during year 1.
Year 2 was 4-7
Year 3 was 5-6

To be fair, college coaches in 2016 have far less leeway than they did in 1991. They get paid ALOT more as well. There are alot of changes that have occured in those 25 years. That guy in '91 that was fired, was also fired a year after going 10-2 and winning the conference. FWIW.
Edit: Wanted to add, if Strong wins those last 2 games, he just may still be employed with an 18-19 record too.

Texas jumped on the opportunity for the hot up and comer with extensive Texas ties.
Had Herman not been available, good chance they stuck with Strong another year.
Pretty competent job by their administration, Alleva could learn alot

The English language is not a strong suit for you.

Not much doubt about it. Firing Charlie Strong after 3 seasons was basically the same thing Notre Dame did with Ty Willingham.
Ty Willingham was fired after 3 years and a 21-16 record. Charlie Weiss replaced him. Notre Dame came out of the gate strong under Weiss and he got a huge raise and a 10 year contract extension after only coaching 7 games at Notre Dame.
Notre Dame was still paying him 5 or 6 years after he took over Kansas after ND fired him.
Strong cleaned house and started from scratch. Texass started the most freshmen and sophomores of any P5 team this year. Strong was never really embraced by the racist alums and Red McCombs was very vocal about not supporting Strong before he even arrived in Austin.
Race played a huge role in getting rid of Strong this year. If he was white he would still be the coach at texass. No doubt about that.

Does not equal 18-19 record
What was his record in his 4th season?
What was the record with the previous coach?

just no.
The checkbooks were mad and stayed mad because they loved Mack.
Herman is Macks guy, the checkbooks will return.
Green is the only color in play here

This is bs. I live in Austin, I am fairly close to the program, and have lots of friends that are big fans.
Race has not been an issue in Strongs tenure. Hell the fact he is married to a white woman barely made a blip in Austin. Texas (especially central Texas) doesnt have the same race issues you find across states in the South.
Charlie's issues are all his own. He didnt win. He put a black eye on Mack Browns tenure by kicking Macks guys off the team. A lot got booted just for smoking pot. He cut access the big cigar boosters are used to. He didnt do the social circuit around town. He didnt glad hand anybody. Lastly he never could build fan support because of the losses. It was pitiful seeing 60k in a 100k stadium.
Tldr: Race didnt have shite to do with Charlie being fired. He didnt win and didnt fill the stadium. An opportunity to get Herman was passing them by and they jumped on it.

He was 16-18 after 3 seasons.
3 games into his fourth season he was 2-1. That equals 18-19 after 37 games.
His fourth season, he went 10-2 and won the conference.
The previous coach went 86-31-2 after 10 seasons with only one losing season.

Racism at UTx
Look that facts are Strong's Texas teams have sh*t the bed and that can't be denied, so it is easy to point to his record as the reason he was fired. But unfortunately for Strong what happened to him at Texas was basically the perfect storm and he got caught up in it.
If the LSU job hadn't opened, which is one of the few jobs that Herman wanted, along with the fact that Herman's dream job was UT and the fact that the boosters felt that if Herman did go to LSU the chance of pulling him from LSU if he was successful was going to be difficult. So by Texas sh*tting the bed this year did Strong in, it is literally that simple. Racism didn't play a part in this, Strong's record in his first 3 years did and the fact that one of the hottest young coaches "that has coached in Texas for 10years" in college football would have gone to LSU if Texas didn't pull the trigger.

Strong had 3 losing seasons in a row. That gets you fired almost everywhere now. Stop calling the race card until there's actually an instance of racism. This incident wasn't racism, this was poor performance with no outlook for improvement. Les Miles, Nick Saban, Jimbo, Bob Stoops, Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, etc would all be fired after ONE losing season, much less 3 in a row to start a tenure
