re: Most people that don't like the Coach O hire are recent LSU fans.

38....listened to the radio through the 90's when LSU wasn't on tv. First game was Miami of oh in 86. Played football in college (unfortunately wasn't good enough for the SEC). This is a shitshow.

Would that make his statement untrue?

False. Next stupid thread, please.

Are you trying to insinuate people under 25 are used to LSU being a contender, and people over 25 have memories of the 90s and know it "could be worse."
People over 25 should also remember Archer over Spurrier is why the 90s happened. Not saying the next spurrier is out there, but settling for continuities sake can bite you.

And I know lawyers, politicians and bankers that like him so nice fail at trying to make a point.

I'm 38. Been a fan since the Arnsparger days. Went to LSU during the Dinardo days.
Wife told me the news when I woke up and I've been pissed off since.

More like the people who supported Miles are the same ones supporting Coach O hire.

I'm 46, I like coach Eaux and will support him like there's no tomorrow.
However, Joe Alleva is the worst AD in history, counting Joe Dean, and he should be fired tonight.

Jon Cefalu went to LSU, that should answer that question.

False. Well over 25. LSU graduate and long time season ticket holders. Not happy.
My kid has only known LSU as a winning team and said the hire "isn't bad". I think there are a lot of fans who are either too young to know what it was like to sit in the stands during the Archer/Hallman days or didn't become fans until LSU was competing for championships. For many of us O brings with him the fear of being irrelevant again.
I hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be a home run hire. I'll happily eat my words.

If you get to count your University of Phoenix classes I'm not taking that bet.

58. Alum. Not excited. I like him but I am seriously worried.

Certainly not, Being college educated at LSU however in regards to having a vetted interest in the success of the school matters a whole hell of a lot more than the living room fan though.

False, but it's true that you're a fricking moron!

I'm in my mid forties and it's a shocking display of incompetence. O is a damn fine recruiter and motivator but was just a pathetic hire by a terrrible athletic director.

I'm 41 and absolutely hate how joe didn't do due diligence in finding the best coach he could. This hire stinks to high heaven.
