I don't think it matters what you do when our QB is in the shotgun and still doesn't have time to set his feet throw. Granted, he did have time every now and then and missed a few throws but that is 100% due to the success of that D line. They rattled him, like they would almost any QB in that situation. Give credit where credit is due.
Agreed 100%. And they didn't blitz that much. Stunted all night though. They've been doing that all season (and last) where the DEs make moves to inside and S or LB has outside containment.

It was those inside moves that destroyed us. Once they break free they close quickly. Always know where the ball is, take good angles, and know where the other defenders are (to take the optimum pass rush lane and not leave an escape).

We did not have an answer. Every OL didn't get beat every play (obviously). But they didn't focus on one position/gap. Left side, outside, 2 gap... every play there was at least one 'breakdown' it seemed, but never in the same spot. That's by design. Have to be solid across the front 100% to combat that. We're just not that solid up front.

After watching how soft our O-line played and how many dropped balls LSU had, I'd really like to know what really went down in that "players only" meeting....

LF had some big cut back opportunities in this game and didn't let the blocks take place, ran too hard too fast. They are gonna be sick watching the film especially LF, I think he tears Arkansas up this week. He needs to be more patient and take the cut back lanes that open up when everyone commits to the original side. Every team does this to LF and he falls for it everytime. The OL needs to take advantage of it also. Need a better blocking scheme period and then the entire offense work off of it. We need to set teams up more in the run and pass from previous tape. They would fall for it hook line and sinker.

Play calling and execution! The only way to beat Bama is to score early and then hope you defense can hold off the charge. Ole Miss up 3 touchdowns and then lost because they have no defense. Our play calling in the 1st half was plain. Etling had no chance to get time to pass, but why not over the middle TE or RB passes? With the rush those were open. Coach E is not there and we need to get a top notch Offensive play caller. Face it with 2 weeks to plan we laid an egg on offense. We didn't ever get they on their heels! Once bama gets to half time they make adjustments and that will stop anymore scoring.

Yes. Our tackles suck big time....who said these guys are the best at LSU?

Someone should be held accountable for that shite performance....I can't believe I spent almost a 1000$ for that effort....

Really? How about that Bama was just better. Look in the mirror and be real for yourself.

I grew tired of watching the Bama defensive linemen go around Malone like he wasn't even there.

mcelroy assessment of lf on sec now last night was spot on. Leonard was pressing to hit the long run and missed some holes and cut backs. The film will show and hopefully they come out on fire this week.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. The better team won. Alabama is the number one team in the country and they would have beaten anyone Saturday night.
Quit trying to talk yourself out of reality, the delusional postings get depressing after a while. It wasn't the coaching or the scheme, the plays or even the players. The better team won, live with it and enjoy the rest of the season.
