re: LSU vs Tulane Social Scene

I would say LSU, but I can see the draw for an out of state kid to want to be in NOLA.
Also Tulane gets them discounted tickets and provides free transportation to and from Jazzfest and FQ fest. Pretty easy for them to enjoy the uptown Mardi Gras scene.
In the end I would choose LSU due to football.

I did both and did a lot more at Tulane. But Tulane's advantage doesn't come from the school, but the better city social scene and what that leads to.

For me, the lack of a top notch football scene at Tulane is a major draw back. Nothing better than weekends in the fall at LSU.

Ya I was 23 to 26 at Tulane which isn't really a fair comparison.

Two totally different scenes. Both are a lot of fun. I went to fraternity parties at both schools. Places like The Boot, The Palms, Fat Harry's etc. are interchangeable with any number of BR bars. F&M's is in a class unto itself. There are plenty of hot girls at Tulane, just not in as great numbers. You can get laid at either. LSU gameday is a force unto itself.

LSU for a handful of Saturday's in the fall. LSU also has a high volume of sexy females. But it's not like you are fricking them all anyway. Tulane is in Nola which is light years ahead of BR as far as everything. You also have Saints games to make up for not having LSU tailgating. And for all the 'NFL trashy' talk, Saints games and tailgate is absolutely busting at the brim with sexy arse women. New Orleans also has festivals on festivals on festivals. Mardi Gras.
Having went to both schools and LSU football season is probably my number one thing to do in South La year after year. Tulane has more options social wise and Tulane/Nola has all the pussy one could ever imagine rowing through.

Tulane has Madigan's. End of discussion.

People talke shite about Tulane girls but there is PLENTY of sexy TU women. One of the sexiest girls I've ever met went to Tulane. Half Dutch and half Japanese.
Also a lot of the girls at LSU might move up there with 5-6 friends from their high school and will even still hangout with their own HS click that all graduated together at Covington high. Definitely not as open to meeting people. It seemed to me that Tulane folks were much more open personally and willing to meet new people and try new things.

LSU if you're greek.
Tulane if you're independent.

LSU football is really about the only thing LSU has going for it, tbh
Horrible city, terrible bar scene, over zealous cops.
The girls are a draw
The LSU dude brahs are just TFM young republican types and the Tulane dude brahs are just douchey northeastern Lax bros and/or fat Jews in Hawaiian shirts belting out Billie Joel songs at F&M's. So no one wins that round

Tulane by far. NOLA nightlife >>>>> BR nightlife
This is a joke of a question.

I want to say Tulane, but I can't imagine going to a school without an LSU-level football gameday.
Posted on 11/2/16 at 8:54 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
So, all you have to do is drive 75 miles west for an LSU game.

For the person saying the Tulane bars and LSU bars are a wash...
Umm are you forgetting that Tulane bars allow drinking at 18?
