All they are is plastic junk. They probably make 400% profit or more. I have a 2 and 3 year old and every time I go in the toy area,I'm amazed at how expensive everything is

It's not rocket science, people pay the price.
If not you get ridiculed by your friends and or children.
Parents used to run their home, oh well.

Because you stick them up your butt.

Because instead of just kids who have to beg for every toy, now you have a population of man-children with disposable income who buy them like they're some kind of art.

You need to get your children lead toys like I had when I was young.

It's not so much the toy itself. Rather, it's the licensing and intellectual property that the toy represents. Kids want Star Wars toys and GI Joe toys. They pay for the brand.

Just have to find other more cost effective sellers. Just got my son 10 of the classic star wars figures unopened on ebay for 29 dollars. Not throwaway ones either. Vader, Luke, ham, chewy, etc.

Supply and demand. Pretty simple concept. I suspect you or your employer make as much money as possible off of your product/service.

Legos are worth every penny I still buy them

Don't care. I'll be ridiculed now and be better off 20 years down the line than dumping hundreds of dollars into toys that last 3 month rather than my retirement account or my kids college fund.

A lot of R&D goes into the latest and greatest vibrating technology powered by AA batteries.

Those things don't float across the Pacific on their own.

Because manufactures know that dumb arse "keeping up with the Jone's" type parents will buy the overpriced toys for their "everybody gets a trophy child".

I remember for a few Christmas's in a row all I wanted was the GI Joe aircraft carrier. It cost like $100, my parents use to tell me that I should be prepared to not get it so don't get my hopes up.. And they were right.. I never got it.. It seems like kids get a lot more expensive shite these days.
