Mattress Recommendations: Bring 'em

Need to buy a king-size mattress. What should I look into?
Only mattresses I've ever bought were cheap queen-sets from Sam's Club that I covered in egg-crating for more cushion in college.
I understand there's all different types of Tempur-pedic, Sleep Number, Mattress Mac such like out there, so tell me what I should be looking for.
TIA.

There has to be enough OT mattress threads to actually make a mattress.

I bought a king size Lucid 10" memory foam mattress off of Wayfair for around $350...no complaints at all.

We just bought a king mattress from Tuft & Needle to replace one lost in the flood. It's very similar to the Casper, but around $200 cheaper with a 100 night free trial. We've been sleeping on it for a couple weeks and have liked it.

Would like some recommendations from people who have purchased from Amazon

Wife and I got a Purple a few weeks ago and we love it. It's extremely comfortable. My back issues have went away. I fall asleep faster.
Best way to explain it is soft and supportive. You really don't feel pressure points.
Plus the youtube commercial is funny, as well as the emails they send you during the purchasing process.
Anyway, we like ours a lot.

Just purchased a Sealey Temperpedic 12" with adjustable head & foot.
Absolutely the best purchase I've made ever.

Just bought 3 Tuft & Needle mattresses (one for each of my kids rooms). They had great reviews on Consumer Reports, were really affordable and so far, seem to be good. Of course, when you are between 80 and 140 pounds...it doesn't take much of a mattress to sleep soundly.

Casper.
And I have had Restava, Leesa and Saatva mattresses.
Casper has the best product, along with customer service and a great trial period at no cost to you.

All you need to know here:
Sleep Like The Dead mattress reviews
I bought one from Bed In a Box a couple years ago. Better reviews than Tempur-Pedic and much less money.

Serta iComfort is what I've been sleeping on the last 5 years. Wouldn't trade it for anything else.

My advice is to stay away from the retail mattress stores you see on every corner. The markup on serta, posturepedic ect is huge. Go to one of the online companies and pay closer to what the thing is actually worth.
Experience: I bought a $1,100 Serta queen and it has been a POS.

We bought a king sized Leesa about two years ago. Initially were looking between Leesa, Tuft & Needle, and Casper. Picked Leesa because it seemed to be the firmness the wife preferred and I'm not a picky sleeper.
We both have loved it...very comfortable, not hot like I heard memory foam can be.
I was a bit hesitant ordering a bed we hadn't even laid down on, but the free trail sold us on it. No regrets at all and will order another when this one gets worn out.
