Well considering that he wasn't playing at all in previous months, that statement would be true whether he scored two goals or picked up two red cards.

While he hasn't done much in like his two cup appearances for Bayern thus far, he had a scoring hot goal record in their preseason. He's got a nose for goal so far this season when he's had chances is what I meant.

But you're confident in a guy who has missed the last 2 years due to multiple ACL surgeries?

The game is still in a month, so time will tell if he gets re injured, but yes I trust Boyd to be more productive on the field than Altidore.

ETA: I forgot Cameron was healthy again. You're right he defiantly has a spot on the field. I would slot him in at CB, because Brooks and Cameron will be our WC CB pairing.

Based on what?

Like this isn't even an Altidore thing for me, if you paired Agudelo, Bacon or Rubin with Wood, it wouldn't be THAT ridiculous. But of all the strikers in our pool that you could choose from, you choose a guy who has been largely out of the game for 2 years.

As a follow up question, based on current form, what is your argument for all of these other strikers over Jozy?

Also, why no Cameron?

Bacon- Injured for rest of the season
Agudelo- I like him, but still don't think he's as talented as a healthy Boyd
Rubin- I haven't seen him enough to really have an opinion, but I would take a healthy Boyd, Altidore, and Agudelo over him.

I forgot Cameron was healthy again. You're right he defiantly has a spot on the field. I would slot him in at CB, because Brooks and Cameron will be our WC CB pairing. The only reason why he wasn't on there is because I wasn't sure when his time table was for getting back.

What evidence are you basing this opinion on?

Cameron has been healthy. Aron just returned from injury and I haven't read anything about him getting injured again. Not sure what he's talking about, honestly.

Bobby Wood has to start IMO. I don't know if you shift to a 442 or play him wide in a 433, but he has to start for me.

Agreed. We need as much WOOD as we can get.

With Bobby i think it would work like a 451 in defense, Wood tracking back with Jozy waiting to play hold up and spring counters.

Would push Sacha and MB a little deep, but theyre gonna be doing a lot of deep defending regardless. Obviously not the most ideal role for Sacha, but if Wiliams is gonna play against mexico, i would have liked to see him get more mins in these past two matches.

You want Jozy to play the 10?

That won't work at all

Sounded more like he wanted Jozy to be a hold up forward, which is his role on defense.

This. Obviously Wood would push up to partner Jozy in possession. Its a 442 but Wood would have to really work back on D.

Stay in touch. We have four and only two of us are confirmed.

We're reaching out to our folks and think we'll be able to fill the other two seats, but you never know.
