He's smart, he's a offensive guy,and a QB coach. He got the Washington Huskies on the rise in his third or his second year I can't remember off the top of my head right now,but I think he is a good guy for the job.

He's not moving out of the Northwest, but yes, he would be a homerun hire.

Not a good fit at all for LSU. He'd be a fish out of water in Baton Rouge.

Do you really think you're the first person to post about this? There are already 100s of threads regarding Petersen.

He's one of the 4 best coaches in the nation imo but he would be crazy to leave the spot he's got now. It's perfect for him and he can win there.

I'd make him tell me no. Word is he doesn't wish to leave the west coast, but he'd kill it in Baton Rouge.

Far better hire then Herman, or any other young, hot name.
He did it first, and has done it longer.

Great coach and developer of talent...West Coast guy though. He had his chance to coach in the SEC West while at Boise and turned down the opportunity though he had ties with the AD. All of his recruiting base even at Boise, was the west coast. I think he is where he wants to be. Maybe USC or Oregon, but not LSU.

he had many opportunities while the Boise coach and it appears he is happy at Wash. I doubt he would consider moving to a part or the country that he has few if any contacts. I also think he is at his dream job so why move. Wash should be able to pay the same as an SEC school for a HC

He would be a great fit anywhere, but he isn't leaving Washington probably ever.

If LSU was located in the pacific NW we could get him. But he has a son who has a special medical condition and the doctor that sees him is located in eastern Washington I believe

He likes Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. He might take an NFL job but he's not leaving for another college. Even if LSU, Texas and Notre Dame were all offering him.

The list of schools he has supposedly turned down includes Texas, Florida, and USC. Those are arguably the top three football jobs in the country.

Sure, there's no harm in asking, but you're realistically talking about the same likelihood of a positive response when you approach Urban Meyer or Jack Del Rio. It isn't going to happen.

how Petersen was able to transform that program in a few years is absolutely terrifying for the pac 12. I get that the rest of the conference is down, however this UW team in particular looks like they'd be able to compete with any of the past Pac 10/12 conference champions.

He has a child with special medical needs. Seattle has better healthcare infrastructure than either BR or NOLA....hell, Memphis has better healtcare infrastructure than BR and NOLA
